I meant the current prices. Boxes go for about 220 right out the gate now.
I feel like HGSS was the last true era of actually desirable set holo cards

Vmax climax is superior. Better CHR and CSR selection vs that of VStar Universes ARs & SARs in terms of more popular Pokemon and Gen 1 selection. Better full Art trainers. I do however prefer the Egawa Arceus & Giratina golds vs the gold reprints of Vmax climax.
and my opinion is heavily biased towards love for gen 1 Pokemon, the eeveelutions in the set, mimikyu & acerola 
Yeah agreed. Maybe the best way to categorize would be;
Gen 1, 2; true vintage
Gen 3, 4; second vintage era (more modern, because no WotC/newer)
Gen 5, 6, 7; mid-era (kind of modern, but not really)
Gen 8, 9, 9,5; modern (high print-numbers, everyone investing)
I really like Paradox Rift & Temporal Forces! Very consistent sets (although in Paradox’s case way too big at 266 cards) with lots of cool IRs & SIRs, just neglected because no one really cares about paradox Pokemon. Feels like the boom had no impact on those sets either, as they are everywhere in the UK

Very true. The artwork in Temporal Forces is beautiful. Best SIR´s in my opinion.

Paradox is probably my third favorite set in the SV block behind Destined and 151.

I remember paradox was 75$ last Christmas. So it’s definitely boomed with the rest. Proportionally to its popularity
By me they were selling them for $90 a piece the weekend after it released. I remember thinking that was pretty crazy

Chilling Reign is a bit like Battle Styles, except for that it get´s more love. But it still trails far behind the big boys despite being a cool (get it?) set.

It’s all new Pokemon for the sets theme. But it’s when we still had VMAX alts and they tossed us a random blaziken. So it’s all over the place with good and bad stuff.

Yeah, me neither. Actually didn´t like Sw/Sh 1-6. It was Celebrations that pulled me back in. But, I do think that Battle Styles and Chilling Reign are better than given credit for.
