Love these as well. I guess people just don’t really see the fact that these are pretty much Base Set Jungle cards.

I feel like the XY era sets (especially on Japanese side) still have a lot of opportunity. The promos and art cards in particular. Same with S&M and other pre-2020 products. They blew up some in 2023, but have mostly re-traced and are mostly quiet this year. There’s some small sets, but one of my fav cards is this Mew from Dream Shine CP5 set (which also has many other nice full art cards):
It looks a lot better with the grey borders and the holo pattern on the Japanese cards is much nicer than whatever the English one is.

Steam siege, for a 9 year old set you can buy packs of it for slightly more than modern packs in the secondary market (also the artworks in the set aren’t half as bad as the new cards). People dislike it because of the higher print run but all that means to me is lower prices, even so pack ripping is lame I’m going to stick to singles

You can get most ADV/PCG Japanese holos for under $10. So much incredible art in these sets. The promo sets (ADV-P/PCG-P) are also incredible but unfortunately not as underrated cost-wise
