There’s so many Pokémon on it and I can’t read the name of the card- which pokemon is this for?

For me it has always been either the Neo Revelation Ho-oh, or the double holo variant. I guess it started with Pokémon Gold, but Ho-oh does seem like the ultimate legendary to me, so when I found out that this card existed (I stopped after Neo Discovery) I was hypnotized.

My grail for a long time was a PSA 10 Japanese shiny Milotic. I hunted this card for gradeable raw copies for years at various different intensities. At times checking bookmarked saves many many times a day. At other times maybe once a week.
I had 3 opportunities to straight up buy a PSA 10 copy, but I just couldn’t justify the price tags. Especially because some of the copies in my opinion were not a true gem mint. I understand cards don’t have to be perfect to get a 10, but it would have been a hard pill to swallow spending thousands on a card that I thought didn’t look any better than some of my own copies.
Last year this card went on auction on ebay, and I was quite surprised at how clean it looked. I wasn’t sure if it would get higher than a 9 at PSA/CGC, but I decided to go for it. I ended up winning for an amount I would have spent on a mint raw copy!
Once I was able to inspect it more closely in person, I felt a huge relief. This copy has made me content with my hunt for a high grade. Maybe one day I’ll crack it out and try my luck at PSA or CGC, but for now I kind of like the idea of keeping it in this case. I never thought my cleanest copy of this card would come in a Chinese slab lol.
As for future grails, I think I might start eyeing a fan club Shining Magikarp one day.

BGS 9.5 sold for $57k a few months ago. Amazing card but you won’t have to pay that much.

To me, I’d guess it’s one I’ve not owned yet although I have an unlimited this is still needed.
Not sure how I’d feel when I eventually get one as it’s endgame card for me.

Throwing it out there to the card I will never own, the Japanese Gold Star Umbreon. I would take one in the absolute worst condition, so maybe someday someone will find a washing machine copy for me, but I doubt it

The Japanese Shining Gyarados
I finally obtained a copy of this card last month. This is the most nostalgic card to me as I owned the English copy as a kid and it was my favorite card. The JP version in particular has the sparkle pattern that covers the entire card similar to the corocoro mew and the colors look so much more deep and rich, it just looks spectacular in person.
My favorite Ken Sugimori artwork. This card is timeless and one that I consider a blessing to finally own.
