Have a copy that I am looking to auction off, but I know it probably mean I very likely wouldn’t own another one again. Decisions Decisions
If we’re including test prints, the two Matchprint Charizard comes to mind, with just two copies each:
From official releases only though, the unlimited edition Korean Base Set Charizard is up there, but I think the Thai 029/SV-P Charizard VMAX and Indonesian 039/SV-P Charizard VMAX takes the spot. Iirc, only 50 copies of each were rewarded:

The Traditional Chinese 087/S-P Charizard VMAX HR with around 100 copies given out (although 500 announced by officials) is also an honorable mention:
Greetz,
Quuador
Haha, yeah when I saw this thread I was thinking of posting those 50-copy VMAXes, but eventually didn’t because I’m not sure if even 50 copies are somewhere close to “rarest” (look what this forum did to me! lol )
For 100 copies there’s also Charizard V (Champion’s Path ETB version) in Simplified Chinese, which is a tournament prize and limited to 100 copies.
What’s funny though is that people didn’t seem to pay much attention to it (perhaps because it’s the same ETB Charizard V that had been overhyped in TPCi releases) so I got 2 copies for $600 pretty easily uopn release. Not sure how the prices look like now.
Simplified Chinese copies of Charizard VMAX in Champion’s Path however is a gift box promo and thus the easiest one to get among all languages. Don’t blame this thread if you didn’t read Chinese and hoarded a bunch of those thinking you got the rare Traditional Chinese copies. ![]()
