Not quite sure if set collecting is still popular or people just go for singles!

Hello! Iām a set collector! I had 27.5 sets complete, but Iām working on updating the condition of my cards, so a lot of sets have been broken up. Iām working on complete common and uncommon sets in NM to M condition for all unlimited and regular print sets. This is so I can focus on rares and holos only in the future.

Itās sad to see some of these sets broken up, but it will be worth it for better condition cards. Iām looking forward to having a collection in nicer condition. : ) I think everything else is sitting between 50%-90% complete right now.
My overall goal is to collect master sets for the English sets. Have a lot of work to do and a lot of cards to buy, but it feels really nice to have complete sets.

A topic where probably everyone does better than me for a change. 
Iāve got one complete set (in NM+): Japanese Vending Series 3 (green), including Billās PC.
Closest set after that is probably the Japanese XY Evolution (CP6), although I still miss most Ultra/Secret Rares.
Iām not a set collector. If I ever start collecting anything else besides Pikachus, Sevipers, Mimikyus and Moltres #21 WotC variations, it will either be another PokĆ©mon, or one of each PokĆ©mon in the National Index. For now Iām covered however.
EDIT: Oh, one more small set completed: Japanese Southern Islands still in their original packaging.

Iām a WOTC completist!
Completed: base unlimited, jungle, fossil, base2, team rocket, gym hero, gym challenge, neo genesis and neo discovery. Im still working on shadowless base, neo destiny, legendary collection and e series. Ive just been going one set at a time and got back into collecting three years ago.
None yetā¦close on Fossil Unlimited, Jungle Unlimited, Team Rocket Unlimitedā¦ Wanna get those three done so I can focus on doing the Neo stuff.
Oh and also, for set collectors, do you guys buy PSA cards? And if so, does that mean you have to buy PSA cards for every card in a set? I really enjoy how sets look in binders, yet I also see the allure of owning PSA cards, but the idea of having a few PSA cards outside of my binder while everything else is in the binder doesnāt seem perfect. What do you guys do for this?

I got lucky in a massive lot I purchased for a bargain. Its nice to have sets but I prefer trying to collect single graded cards that I like. The sets remind me of childhood collecting and are very satisfying to have.

Iāve got every set in english! When I started collecting in 2008, this was my goal. I only finished it a year or 2 ago. But all near mint from base up to sun & moon! (No promos or rev holos though. One of each artwork is good enough for me)

All the 1st Ed. ones save for too many Base 1st holos, legendary collection master, all the e-series, and for some reason rising rivals since it was so popular when I played competitively
