Bro, I’ll take a heavily beaten up SNAP Bulbasaur over none. It’s more about having them all, than having them all in X grade. But with the very low printed, and even lower known out there. I doubt even a Heavy Played/Damaged SNAP Bulbasaur will ever be in my budget. Same goes for First Edition/Shadowless Venusaur. The “PSA6”/NM ones are now creeping but speeding up and I don’t think I’ll be able to catch them before having to spend a few grand on a card that basically is a binder copy.

Can’t argue with that when that’s all there is if a budget issue then it’s not for me to dictate but it’s your choice that is if you have a choice available.

1. PSA 10 1st edition base set holo set. Hopefully I can afford at least a 7 set one of these days. Skyridge holo’s and Crystal holo’s. I currently only have the reverse crystals. Ex team rocket ex’s. I will probably manage to bang these out eventually. Plasma Blast Charizard PSa 7-10. Besides that I’m pretty much content with what i already have. And i can get some of these sets I’m missing eventually. Last but not least all gold stars. Not everything listed is completely out of range. I’m a set collector and realistic. No point in saying every trophy card. Which price would be crazy for one of every trophy card ever made.

You can buy mine one day. All it takes is 1) following your passions, 2) working very hard, 3) being collaborative. You pull that off and you’ll have the success you want.

Trust me you can. I’m self made. I paid for school and grad school. Today, I co-own one of the 10 largest toy companies in the world. Pokémon became a key strategic investor in our business before we sold and took on a partnership in the new company. And, I grew up in Mississippi and Tennessee - in the middle of nowhere. I guess all it took was posting in this thread, I was able to find a PSA 10 Super Energy Retrieval CD Promo last week for well below the price I was willing to pay. Card is in shipment, I think the guy had it listed for about 2.5 seconds before I sniped it out of the air.

For me and most of the high end cards I want it’s more to do with the super high end condition that I won’t be able to get them in (PSA 10 1st ed base Charizard)

I’ve really wanted to hit my head on a wall recently because I didn’t buy Charizard poncho wearing Pikachu boxes on release and now the cards are getting very expensive in both raw and graded.

I also could have bought them for like 50 € each raw sometime ago but I didn’t do it. And now they are out of my price range. Boohoo

Good thing I didn’t do the same mistake with Mario & Luigi Pikachu…

You can find posts of mine going back years saying I always wanted an original Gold Trophy Pikachu and a Snap Bulbasaur. These have always been the two cards I wanted the most.

My all-time most desired cards pretty much look like this:

1. 97-98 Gold Trophy Pikachu
2. Snap Bulbasaur
3. 97-98 Bronze Trophy Pikachu
4. 97-98 Silver Trophy Pikachu
5. Pokémon Illustrator
6. Parent-Child Tournament Kangaskhan
7. '99 Tropical Wind
8. Any SSB trophy
9. A Neo No. 1 Trainer (I have no interest in the No. 2 or 3, they just feel incomplete to me)
10. Other Snap cards

(I’m not going to try to place a PSA 10 1st ed Base Charizard on that list, which is a card I’ve owned forever)

I have already gotten my top targets, which still seems surreal to me.

So looking over this list, the card I am least likely to ever pursue is an Illustrator, because it is the most expensive card on the list but not the one I would desire most.

Based on price point vs how much I desire the cards, I could see myself going for more Snap cards in the future.
