Same, no WOW. The only 2 that had potential for me were ruined : one is a pink Celebi (I don’t like its shiny form..!) and one has a big key on his face :joy_cat:

That celebi promo with the clocks and the Celebi V both are in my top 100 cards. IDK how someone couldnt love em.

Here’s another great one, but admittedly it’s not exactly mystical which is what the other guy wanted lol.

Major kudos @xliveandplay your unpopular opinion has proven quite unpopular :joy:

Ok, I’ve sort of grouped these into three categories that reflect how I feel about the arts :

And 2 more special categories :

Maybe one day I’ll bring myself to buy some of these cards.. Neo destiny and the ‘almost enough’ category..

Have you considered it possible that you are unable to discern “good” Celebi art? :nail_polish:

lol I think it’s mostly that my expectations are too high when it comes to Celebi, since it’s my favorite Pokémon by far

This really beautiful card would have been perfect for Celebi :

Same artist, for a deck kit card

Yes that card is definitely among my favorite Celebi cards. I didn’t know it was the same artist, I’ll check what other cards he made !

Everyone cares about the monetary value of their collection and wishes they had more. Everyone would trade cheap cards they like for a more expensive card they dont like if given the option, favouring collection value over card design.

The loudest people might carry 90% of the sentiment but only account for 10% of people in the space out there.

There is a quiet majority that collect without sharing or caring about monetary value of their collection

I hear what you are saying. I have been buying nice graded cards and cracking them for my binder…but to be honest, I still do care about monetary value. I don’t want my 3500$ rayquaza to go down or my 6000$ 1st edition charziard or gold star zard. I absolutely did not buy them for an investment but to be able to liquidate them and get 100% (or near) value back is definitely a decision in spending this kind of money in a hobby.

I also collect street sharks and they have dropped in value, il never sell them…but it does suck lol.

This is false. There is just no way you could get me to trade my favourite 300$ larvitar card for a 1000$ new gen card. I just don’t care.

As far as modern alt arts go the fusion strike has a similar vibe to this mew
