In this quote, I was putting 1+1 together which is what I see where you are coming from the original opinion more and it’s relatable and I respect that. [Edit] Thinking about my response I see giving too much nice hand over leeway into acceptance. Like your comment it’s an impulse to make without allowing time to calculate for full purpose and it is something I value more in stopping impulsiveness. The points raised if solely make more ground yet dilute as another self-imposed idealistic communal generalisation thus creating a argumentum ad populum cope out strategy. Claiming generalistic factors on how people strive for the truth is a reveal to the agendas of those against it.
Just getting to this thread, not sure if anyone addressed your second point yet, but tPCi can’t limit the amount of hits to 3 with their newer sets. This is due to the fact that the newest sets are hitting 250+ cards(I think cosmic eclipse is like 271?) With the amount of ultra rares, full art variants, and secret rares, it would make certain singles so crazily unobtainable and people would be even more angry than they are now with the amount of cards in sets. Of course the solution to this would be to lower the card count but I never really thought having more artwork was a bad thing. They should definitely make ultras/secrets more unique though. I can’t deal with all the rainbow and 1 color background full art garbage ; I do love the newer alternate arts, and if they started to make the standard full arts look like the BW era full arts again, that’d be sweet.
I’m posting this here because the relevant thread is locked. It’s about my stance towards fake cards.
When I moved from Germany to Greece in 2004, all kids in my area had fake cards. I didn’t say anything because they were hostile towards me and it would only make things worse. After some time, I told a friend about it and showed him a real card. He became excited about the existence of superior, authentic cards. I gave him some of mine to start off his collection and he cherished them.
I didn’t express myself well in the previous posts. Fake things create a new reality and add perceived value to real things. If you try to understand my point, you will. English is my 3rd language by the way.
I don’t like/support counterfeiting. I’m just sharing a different perspective since it is happening and apparently won’t be stopped. I look for a positive aspect in every situation. I would prefer it if fake cards wouldn’t exist. Since they do, this is my stance. I choose it over being concerned about it.
I thought of another one that I’m not sure is unpopular but is alot more trivial than the discussion seems to be at present; I think the Stormfront Charizard is hideous and I genuinely cannot believe Arita illustrated both that one and the original Base Set card.
I like fake cards that are clearly just fanmade fakes to have fun. Like the other day I saw a fake shiny base set charizard card which gave me a good laugh 
but when people try to sell fakes that are supposed to be replicates of real sought out cards, like base set 1st edition shadowless charizard, and they sell it with a ‘proxy’ title on ebay for $500, it does annoy me as well
