There is nothing wrong with selling stated weighed packs. Many look down on people who do it, which is wrong. It’s easy to be strictly against it from distance, when it has no impact on you. I wonder what they would do if they would obtain mint, potentially unweighed 1st Edition Base Set packs.
Also. Being against pack-weighing and buying light/heavy packs for your collection/opening is terrible. If being against the practice makes you feel better about yourself, I understand. But don’t be a hypocrite.
Forest of Equilibrium is where it’s at for mature, unbridled quality especially at the doom atmosphere crossing paths with the flutes but my tastes have connected to appreciate this most. Next two are less serious, more grunge rock influenced with occasional life questioningly heavy riffs that sound better than Black Sabbath trying to be Black Sabbath. Forest’s level of quality for artistic expansion is only really matched by The Guessing Game for but the two proceeding after Forest are more accessible.
Though in honesty, Haunter is top, Gengar a tad overrated and Gastly is underated with the Monk decapitated head concept and all, where Haunter and Gengar are tad more loose of a merge of Cheshire Cat, Doppelganger/ Genganger but still equally interesting.
Just want to say welcome to the forums and with your opinon on top, it’s always satisfying to see a unique username and Pokémon art as mascot for the icon for showing more character!
It turns out there’s a conspiracy regarding all PSA cases. Overtime they actually damage the cards; the inner sleeves fuse with the product due to light refraction. In time the only NM cards will be those that were stored via binder. garry and SM Pratte are patsies
Agreed. I think the point is to be honest. There are too many listings for unweighed packs… as if they couldn’t buy a $5 scale and weigh them…? WOTC packs just need to be straight up sold as “Light” or “Heavy”. If you have bought an unweighed pack at some point I think it is now your responsibility to weigh it if you are going to resell it. Unpopular belief…but I don’t trust any listing that says unweighed. The exception might be a box break from a trustable seller with a live opening of sorts.
The problem is you have no control over what the buyer does.
ALL PACKS ARE WEIGHED…period. And it’s really a shame.
One jackass lists his packs as unweighed “because I bought them as unweighed” lol. All are dishonest, greedy, scumbags.
The Pokemon community isn’t the best community. It’s actually pretty terrible. We only feel strongly about it because it is familiar, convenient, and meets us where we are at.
If you want to measure it by ig/fb flipper culture you will find lies, misinformation and people taking advantage of others but this can be applied to any macro scenario and is common in all mini-markets. Fashion, hypebeast and sneakerhead culture is riddled with this.
If you want to look at microcosms such as efour, smogon, local tcg playerbases groups, etc. it’s pretty good.
The same applies to not only unweighed, but opened packs and opened/sealed boxes too. If stated weighed is wrong, selling anything besides raw cards is wrong.
I think that this is pretty relative. Compared to the many communities that I have been a part of, Pokemon is by far one the most welcoming and informative. When you have anything with a community size in the multi-millions, it is inevitable that there will be thousands of scumbagprattes. I’d say for the most part, the majority of people who seem terrible, just have really strong opinions because they love the game so much.
Edit: This isn’t to say that this isn’t an unpopular/ popular opinion. It very well might be depending on what your background is. If you’ve never been apart of some really toxic/ elitist communities - I can definitely understand why Pokemon might not seem all that welcoming.
But, personally, I’m glad that Leonhart and even Unlisted Leaf/ Jwittz/ Munching Orange are the larger content creators out there. I don’t watch their videos, but they seem like good people with the right intentions.
Also, in other communities, people won’t even talk to you until you’ve established that your a serious collector/ have the right experience levels. Here, Scott and Gary don’t care, they’ll talk to everyone equally, just because they love the game. I’ve never seen Gary look down on anyone for what they can afford or for what they choose to collect.
I’m simply stating all packs are weighed. We get many novice collectors here who are seeking honest information. I don’t want them to be fooled into thinking they may pull a Holo cause they won’t. This is one of the benefits of our great site. We educate unlike the pack weighing trash on fb and ig etc who are just trying to steal their money.
To those novices, ALL PACKS ARE WEIGHED.
Do you have a source for this? And could you not just keep them away from light? I think most serious collectors are aware light can damage your cards over time. And why would the inner sleeve of a psa case act differently that a binder sleeve?
Also let’s keep the opinions focused on cards, not people.
