1000% This! I felt every word of that post!
Sure, Its just not that simple. Even if I never read a youtube comment, I have to check my messages for my livelihood, so you end up reading unavoidable cancer. I had people message me on IG and tag me in their stories with their moronic comments like the ones above. Another example, much more benign, some kid from spain has made probably 10 different ig accounts begging for a free illustrator.
Being a content creator is a constant rollercoaster of emotion. There honestly isn’t another job where you have sudden irrational anxiety spikes out of nowhere. You are exposed to the world and unless you are pokerev tier with potential management teams, you can’t just completely ignore noise when its shoehorned into the daily necessities.
I saw someone on reddit post a load of eol wotc sealed promos such as reverse rockets mewtwo, Hitmonchan your way, did they get in touch?
Here’s hoping! Nobody is more qualified to get what they’re worth and to know the value.
A pet peeve of mine is people not taking good advice
some of my Pet Peeves in Pokémon:
- People who think that any card is expensive … like all of those that think that any Charizard is extremely expensive or all those ones that think that McDonald’s Occidental sets worth a lot of money
- Sellers of my country who only guides of Troll & Toad as main resource and all those who use the Trollx3.5 or Trollx4 system to sell cards.
(For all those who doesn’t have idea what is “Troll x value” system is a way to convert Troll & Toad’s price (USD) to Local coin (PEN), and most times the result is an overpriced card). - Resellers (I don’t need to explain)
- IG accounts that send spam like promote on X account, if I want a new logo or if I want to paint my Atari 2600 with a custom design.
- People who wants or celebrates when Sealed or Graded products are destroyed by customs. (I’ve found that type of people in the past)
- Also sellers who take blurry photos or who spill drinks/food near cards/magazines/etc
- People who claims that Vintage cards are useless
You mean the card which this kid lent to his friend at the daycare which was then stolen and sold online. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that you have it now.
Cheers!
Haha! This is just the spanish dubbed version of the daycare illustrator.
Peeve: using the word “family” to describe strangers on the internet.
I’m not sure if it’s been said, but I can not stand when someone says “Oh yeah I have one of those” referring to a Charizard PSA 10 - or claiming they have one and then show me Celebrations…
Maybe it’s just me
People who have this fixed mentality that a chase card will fall to $100 just because of its booster boxes being “printed to demand”.
Not really a pet peeve but when people confuse difficult pull rates with rarity.
Card with a pull rate of 1/2000 ain’t rare if your PSA 10 population is close to 10k.
He should do a video with hockey pads, and just ignore them.
It’s unreal how IG doesn’t ban those accounts. “Tcg bulls” has 2-3 spammers on every single Pokemon post. Literally every single one.
Now that you mention that … I just noticed I received one yesterday.
I don’t know how to tell him that I don’t like most of his work … It’s just a group of Google images with a random background. The worst thing is the dude contacted me because he saw an IG story of my alarm will sound in 4 hours and 7 minutes.
Minor one but location locked promos when they are in the sequential code. I think they should just make them a special one off code rather than svXX
I’ve only recently returned to set collecting so I assume the prices won’t make it impossible to get one once people get home from worlds.
Showing my noobness
When sellers don’t show the holo pattern, I mean AT ALL. Just “Here’s a card with no promotion of the shiny stuff.”
I know you can tell condition without that (but then again, you can’t see scratches as well). Yeah, Peeve.
As someone who loves swirls, this one hurts real bad.
