Overshadowed by the cards, but I think playmats are a cool vehicle to deliver great art.

Worlds playmats are probably my favourite variety. There are too many great arts to list but I’ve been using the 2015 retail version on my desk for a while now.

Two of my favorites, I have and use the 2013 World’s and need to buy the Hoenn dex one. There is also a super rare white Hoenn dex mat as well.
I’m defintely biased, but considering this is the only playmat featuring Seviper (excluding the black and white versions featuring the entire gen 3 posted by @mrtonyz already):
