Welcome @mogumist ! Card shows can be a lot of fun. Do you collect any specific cards or Pokemon? Or are you still working that out? It’s early days in your collecting journey which would be a really fun time. I hope you enjoy your time on the forum.
Thanks, I used to work at a video game shop in college so I started collecting when they first came out in the US. My few cards are at my mom’s now. My kids both collect though, and particularly like Sword and Shield.
Welcome,Dave! I also play Pocket and enjoy it a lot more than I ever thought I would, haha. Do you play the regular TCG at all?

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the forum.
Hello e4, I already made my first intro post somewhere else showing part of my collection (Tropical Collection (Hello e4)). I didn’t see this thread earlier.
My story is similar to many, I was 6 in 1999 and grew up with Pokemon. As far as Pokemon goes, I collect mostly things related to competitive play, but in general, I’ll take anything that’s old and has Pokemon on it. I don’t have any interest in anything modern (goes for all areas of collecting, not just Pokemon). This is mostly just because I yearn for the era where where ideas and products were organic and unoptimized. These days, it does feel like everything is analyzed/optimized to death and financially motivated right out the gate. Whether it was collecting cards on the playground, or a small group of people in a garage or dingy office creating something that changes the world, there are just some things that we can never have again. That is why I collect things that remind me of and pay homage to those days. The further away we get from that, the more important I think it is to preserve these relics.

Hi everyone,
Been a lurker for a while and just decided to register to keep up with discussions on the modern art in the Pokemon cards! Currently I’m collecting Gengar and looking to start a coffee/cafe themed binder. Looking forward to the art discussions and meeting you all here.
