Welcome to Elite Fourum Thread

Welcome @Cyanocitta ! I’m glad you have enjoyed your time reading the forum so far. It’s great to see you join. I’m looking forward to seeing some photos of your binders sometime. I love your attitude of collecting what you enjoy instead of following the hype.

Warm welcome to the forums @Cyanocitta. So awesome to have you join the forums and also great to know more about you and your collection goals. You have very nice collection goals so looking forward to see you have your own collection thread and populate it eventually.

If you have not checked it out but fellow E4 collector @lookaclara has an amazing curated binder based on Nature and Gardening. So do check it out for inspiration and ideas.

There is also a list for Yuka Morii set of cards by @banks which you can also use as reference.

Again, I wish you a great time on the forum.

Cheers!

Welcome to E4! I also like to collect nice art work, and also love gardening/plants! In my gap year I worked at a local greenhouse and learned a lot there. Now I have a variety of plants in my sunroom and my (small army of) aloe vera is growing unwieldy lol.

Thanks @mrbubbles for mentioning my collection thread! I haven’t updated it in a while but it has been on my mind. I want to update how I’ve shared my binders so far. I keep reordering/reorganizing my pages which means that scanning the pages each time there is a change is annoying, haha. I am close to a workaround for now, and then I can finally post the next update of my second binder!

Hiya! I have read a lot of these forums in the past but never really got around to signing up until now. The normal pokemon places I used to hang out seem to just be about the same cards and values and thinking of the children, so figured maybe now would be a good time to join!

Ive been collecting since I was a little kid, but wasn’t allowed to have cards at my mom’s house, so there were a lot of collections that got thrown away when I was careless about hiding them :joy:

Well now I’m an adult with adult money and a mother in law who buys me very nice pokemon cards for my birthday and Christmas so I’ve been able to collect so many things I never thought I would have! I tried at one point to master set every. Single. Set. But realized that wasn’t feasible, so now I’m down to just a few collections

My main one is my Houndooms! Houndoom has always been my favorite pokemon and since I realized I’m too nervous to actually get a doberman irl due to health issues, well, now he’s even more special to me :poodle: I’m collecting every houndoom card in any language that changes the name. Have quite a ways to go but making progress littlr by little!

Then I am doing a shiny dex binder, where I pick my favorite (non-art rare) card for each pokemon, but the catch is that I have to actually catch that pokemon as a shiny in a game to add the card in :star2: so that’s been a fun but slow one

And then I have some more basic ones, all the special art cards, sparkly cards, and then a couple of binders for all the other pokemon i like. I try to limit them to one open binder spread page, but some of them I can’t help myself so they have an overflow binder :joy: there’s just so much good art for some it’s hard to choose!

I’ve been lurking around a bit and hope to have a collection as impressive as some of y’all’s some day!

Welcome @fatehounds ! It’s great that you can now fulfil your collection goals. I’d like to imagine our younger selves would be thrilled to know we are still collecting.

I’d love to see your collection sometime. It sounds brilliant. There are a couple of Houndoom collectors on here so you are in good company.

Houndoom is a sick pokemon. ALways one of my faves too. Especially the Arita Neo 3 card. I’m a big Arita fan. I also had a houndoom on my Gen 2 team named “Shadow Fox”. That might date me… May your cxollecting journey be blessed with lots of hell hounds.

Welcome to the Fourum, @fatehounds ! I hope you continue to find this a useful resource and a great community.
Cheers!

Warm welcome to the forums @fatehounds. So very lovely to have you here. Very interesting collection goals indeed and it will be super interesting to see more of your collection as it progresses. Houndoom line is a really awesome as species to collect. If you have not checked it out, we had a Halloween poll on the best bois according to E4 which you can also use as collection inspiration.

Looking forward to getting to know you better and also your collection updates. Have fun interacting with the lovely folks here.

P.S.

Big fat W right here!

Cheers!

Hi there.

I’m based in the UK although my work means I spend half of my time in Japan.

In my downtime in Japan you will usally find me in exploring anime shops and card sellers. I’m always on the lookout for anything that grabs my attention or I think others back home might be interested in as its far easier to bring back into the UK myself than constantly look at importers.

Im happy to post new finds for anyone in the UK interested in a japanese pokemon gems hete, so if you like what I find then just get in touch.

Welcome, @AdventureArtist ! That’s cool. How often do you fly around the world? I’m not in UK, but still would be curious to see what you find. I hope you have a great time here, and find the community positive and suportive.

Cheers!

Thank you. Im happy to be here. I’m a full time expedition and adventure artist (think Indiana Jones meets Bob Ross) who promotes Anglo-Japanese relations with cross-cultural collaborative art projects. Undertaking two projects at the moment. One short term and one long term. I spend 2 weeks at a time in each country and sometimes pickup projects that take me to the Arctic or stateside too. But I do love indulging in a few japanese cards and random pulls when I’m over there. When I bring them back I tend to stick clear of ebay and just find fun trades or avid collectors who wouldnt otherwise be able to get Japanese cards. Like this one for starters…currently in my hands.

Hi! I’ve been into pokemon since I was a kid, but for the past few years, I’ve been into collecting and the sort of collecting fandom. I collect mainly Yuka Morii cards, but I also have a bit of a Breloom collection. I really like that this place seems a lot more friendly than other collecting communties. I’m just here to collect cute cards and gawk at how cool your guys’ collections are!
