fav game: from nostalgia point of view blue as it was the 1st game I played, but from a playing perspective HG/SS

Hello everyone! Newbie here on Pokémon TCG. I’m 30 years old and Pokémon has been in my life since I can recall any memory really. Weirdly enough, the first time I bought any product of the Pokémon TCG was in 2019, after the premier of Detective Pikachu movie. I went to the cinemas and recieved a couple of promotional booster packs (they included one Detective Pikachu promo card and one random card of that set). Later, I got a Detective Pikachu Collector Chest and forgot about it saddly. I think I felt overwhelmed: “how should I start my own collection? what should I buy? is it just about spending money on booster packs?”. Recently, two months ago I was reintroduced to this hobby thanks to Pokémon TCG Pokect. Yes, I am one of them haha. Nevermind, I found some youtubers and websites that helped me acquire a new perspective and got me eager to try this again. I hope this time will be for the long run.
Alright, so now that you know my brief history, let’s talk serious stuff:
- My favourite Pkmn: Staryu.
- My 1st gen initial Pkmn: Charmander. (actually, originally it was Bulbasaur, but that’s another story)
- My fav Pkmn type: water.
- My fav videogame: Pokémon LeafGreen. (aside from the main series: Pokémon Stadium, Ranger and Snap… memories!!)
- My most precious plushie: real-size Mew. (don’t tell the others, thx)
Anyway, I’m looking forward to spending hours learning from you guys! See you!

Welcome @rafaqua! So glad to have you here and it’s exciting to see the impact Pocket is having in bringing new people to an awesome hobby! There is definitely a lot of information to take it, but the great thing about Pokemon is you can dive in as much or as little as you want!
