Hello everyone! I’m Froyo, 20, from France, and been a Pokémon fan since basically forever. I used to collect when I was younger, but lost everything in a tragic washing machine incident(kept all 7 of my rare cards in my pocket), except the surface layer of a Plasma Storm Giratina card… I’ve been keeping it in my phonecase ever since, like a blessed artifact. It motivated me to start a collection again about 2 years ago, and now I collect cards of my favorite Pokémon (to name a few: Lugia, Porygon-Z, Scizor, Mew), cards with interesting art and holo swirls!
I’m not the most knowledgeable about sets, I really mostly pick my next grails based on which card really strikes me. Looking + extending my collection is one of my favorite hobbies, and I love vintage cards! I don’t really resell anything, I’m looking to acquire every card I love to cherish them to the end of eternity, well loved or mint.
Signed up here because I really want to reconnect with my old days of posting on Pokémon forums all day, miss that feeling a lot. Also, I’m an artist am really inspired by the coloring styles of some old cards, the color choices and personality in some of the most common cards are really mind blowing!! Ill share more over time too but my collections all over the place. I love everything but this year im really going to focus on like 2 or three things at a time lol

He’s in questionable shape but he’s pushing through, at this point I don’t think anything could destroy him further lol
Thanks for the rec, I was just checking that thread out earlier! Matter of fact- I literally own that double swirl Call of Legends Lugia! It was a great surprise upon receiving it, I originally just got it because I loved the look of the card

Welcome Froyo glad to have you here! Totally relate to you as I’m expanding my collection constantly but have never sold any cards and probably never will. Plenty of us really enjoy the $1 common cards as well as the big cards. Mostly excited to see your personal artwork please keep sharing. I like Japanese pokemon cards and im trying to finish base set Japanese PSA10 right now. Got already finished PSA10 Jap holos Jungle and Fossil.
Im working as taxi driver and hope to get some collector buddies.
