Recently purchased a pretend karp/gyrados box from a reputable local seller near me. My initial intention was to keep it sealed, but at this point I am pretty sussed out. No glaring issues, plastic feels correct and sound test checks out, but the seal on the sides of the box almost looks too perfect. Weighed in at 20.2 oz which from my anecdotal understanding is way heavier than it should be. Anyone have solid stats on verified authentic weights? If the consensus is its likely fake I’ll record myself ripping it to try to get my money back.

imo you already have doubt, so just crack it. imo it looks cooked.
Does that stockX verified sticker hold any value if the contents are not correct? Can it be traced back to them for money back options?
Other than that, you will only know once you open it and I hope that the contents are legit.
