I would need some help in reference to properly storing Pokémon cards. I’ve noticed that a number of my holos (contained in a penny sleeve and regular top loader) have become warped. I never touch them or have them stored in a way that would cause any physical damage. How can I eliminate this from happening? I’ve heard some people use card savers as an alternative to top loaders. I use Ultra Pro for everything, not sure if there’s a better brand that I should use instead.
Also, what methods should I use to store PSA graded cards? Currently I have them stored in those smaller boxes that come with the ETB. Would prefer to have them all together, inside something more secure and looks professional. I only have about 20, so something such as a large safe wouldn’t be ideal- at least until I’ve further grown my collection. I’ve seen briefcases with the black foam etc. So perhaps that’s a good option?
One more question. Which are the “perfect fit” sleeves for PSA cases? Thanks.
Top Loaders don’t prevent warping, are only slightly better than binder pages in that respect, and are only for people who travel by horse driven carriages. Throw em out.
Card Savers are the way to go! Cards move in top loaders and are not tight enough. If my cards are not in a ultra pro-pro binder for viewing they are in these and boxed.
I had the same thing happen to a few modern pack pulled cards in brand new ultra pro sleeves inside top loaders. I noticed like 5 or so warped so I threw out all top loaders. I couldn’t understand why it happened at the time. I thought it was my fault for putting them in stacks of 10
