Victory Ring with Pikachu Value

So this auction ended today with 2 victory ring pikachus. Are these considered trophy cards? How many copies are there in circulation? There’s a card that is almost similar but does not have the pikachu and sells for way less, why is that?

Yes. The auction ended incredibly low. Probably flew under the radar.

I wasn’t really interested in them, but I did place a bit of 70k nonetheless. Couldn’t find any at recent sold listings on ebay.com, but there is one for sale for 700 USD which has been for sell for that price for months now.

The 109k is lower than I expected it to end, but it’s also not as low as I thought it could have ended (considering how long it took until I was outbid).

For reference, I have sold this card 3 times, all above $1,000. Granted, one was a psa 10 example, the others were in their original case. There can also be a higher price point if the case includes a 1st place winner.

I honestly can’t think of a lower auction for the card. My guess is that this listing flew under the radar, and listing two of something this rare together will most likely yield a lower price point.

A single one sold yesterday on yahoo Japan as well for like 300 bucks

The price range is huge. Are they only awarded to first place winners?

Wow that is low I definitely need a middle man I feel like I always miss on deals on Yahoo Auctions lol.

I saw the one that sold for 300 way before it ended. It looked like it had a huge dent in the back of it, or I would have picked it up.

It’s a card that’s very interesting, shows how much more value just adding Pikachu brings. Only like what, around 20 more of the Pikachu ones than the traditional ones and it is that much more desirable

The Pikachu copy is more scarce than the non-pika victory ring. I believe the pika ring also had less locations/copies awarded.

Undoubtly more scarce, but I believe it’s much more due to desirability rather than availability.

The original victory ring wasn’t given out in much larger quantity at all if my memory is serving. There were more, but not significantly. It’s just far less attractive art, and Pikachu brings the $$$

Edit: realized in my first post I wrote what I meant wrong. There are more original rings, but not by a lot and it’s still such a large difference

Ahh that’s why it only fetched 300. Very interesting card but the artwork is not that appealing though :slightly_frowning_face:
