Iv just recently sent in a unlimited kyogre gold star into PSA and went onto the POP report and surprisingly the unlimited version of the card has a very low POP figure of 4 cards graded with only 1 being a 10 whereas the 1st ed copy 61 cards graded with 55 being 10’s.
Same goes with the Groundon only 4 unlimited copies graded (2 10’s)/ 56 1st ed copies graded (46 10’s) and Metagross 3 unlimited graded (1 PSA 10) / 1st ed 65 graded with 63 being 10’s.
Im just curious to see why the unlimited copies are not graded or if they are rarer for some reason compared to the 1st ed’s.
Depending on set. Rayquaza unlimited compared to 1st ed unlimited as you probably no… No comparison, 1st ed so much harder to find and I think there is like 60 PSA 10 unlimited rayquaza gold star!!. But with dragon frontiers its hard to say… Because unlimited copies of Charizard pop up not so much, and 1st ed Charizard not so much, but the mew pops up on yahoo in 1st ed more often then the unlimited mew … Hmmmmmmmz
Anyone think that guy who lists gold stars on a weekly basis for the past 2-3 years has something to do with it. Think his username is hayatoshin or something on those line on YJ.
Tbh I have rarely seen unlimited GS copies of the holon research tower. 1st ed are all I see people have and get graded. On the opposite side more of the unlimited versions of ex deoxy gs are seen. Was their different print runs etc for PCG sets?
It is nonsense. It means nothing. It’s wasted ink. Some sets had first edition and unlimited edition being printed simultaneously. Unlimited editions aren’t even printed for ever set. 1st editions outnumber unlimited edition for most recent sets.

Not necissarly nonsense dude, theres a clear difference in 1st edition. The quantity, and thats what makes them so much better… Like there is 17 1st ed gold star japanese zards, but theres like 36 english gold star zards in psa 10. Makes them so much more valueble to me personally, and as a collector you get the thrill of hunting 2 variants if thats your thing, and they sell for way more if there rarer… But i dont give a shit about money, I care about the rareness… People always talk about the money, and the money influences there motives and opinion… Not saying you do this, but alot of people do. It also explains why you can find 10,000 english cards on ebay, but barely any japanese old school, but when you do find japanese old school there in near shit- mega shit conditions making them even more awesome. But english are so awesome too, because there difficult to grade in 10, which is why im going to be collecting english, that are not wotc aswell! Recent decisions xD Like i think there is 60+ graded charizard plasma charizards, and only 2 graded 10… zomg this makes them so appealing to me.
Like IM not glad they gave up 1st edition in engrish… it really sucks… Looks how cool the 1st ed shadowless are compared to unlimited base set. So much easier to find a good condition unlimited base set, and near impossible to find 1st ed shadowless base set in good conditions.

I send through other people, haven’t sent any cards away in ages as I’ve been like so poor it hurts haha, unfortunately as well I’m having to send some that will be sold on right away rather than going into my collection as I just had a package from yahoo and most of the cards I received worth money have like small indents etc on them and so I gotta recover the costs
