priority takes quik to get outside u.s once in aus though all up usually takes 10 days to arrive to your post office/door.
One thing though is one time i had a real good submission with smpratticoinz worth about 5k all up as straight 10s. and he sent priority mail expsress but it went missing for like 40 days lol… didnt update.
I think what happens is usps gets it here super fast within in 2-4 days max, but theres a impending black hole of doom in one of AUSPOST facillities located in sunshine which a fair bit of the time thats were mail ends up . SOmetimes when they get it, for some reason there system can have it run on a 3 week trip or longer around the country
I usually hear of nightmares around the december - late jan early feb range to. So if you have some cards going out… Ide wait to send them if there valueble till feb or mid jan.
I hope the sound of a black hole conforts all of you here to trust in AUSPOST.
Also if anyone is having any thoughts about pregnercy and having a baby over christmas and are looking for some answers on the internet, i encourage you to go to yahoo answers were all the latest and greatest infos is as you can see
Sent out a package to Australia last week. Check the tracking info next day and it shows up as
‘In transit to Tuscarora, Maryland 21790’
…
The Australian postal code that’s on the box is 2179. I’m sure you can guess what happened.
Thankfully, the ‘send an email to customer support’ feature on USPS’s website is amazing. They forwarded my concern to my local branch and I received a phone call the next morning. It’s been a tense past week or so waiting for the status to change from ‘in transit to the Middle of Nowhere, Maryland’ to finally this morning being scanned in at the International Shipping Center in New York. Phew…
USPS is definitely off their game right now, but I think it has something to do with the insane volume around Christmas…
My PWCC USPS package now has four in transit to destination updates with no mention of where it is haha … yaaay
Kind of funny a 1st ed booster box was sent to me priority express from the same state at the same time as I was sent another package international priority … the priority arrived 2 weeks before the express. The express package went like 12 days without a tracking update in a regional sorting facility lol.
I love Australia! I’m located in the UK and items I buy from Australia (specifically Melbourne) usually arrive here in 3-6 days. I don’t know why or how. Japan is also great.
Base on the tracking, the package seemed to have left continental US already (LA CA IDC being the last port of exit in the west coast). It’s probably at Aus customs atm.
I had to post this madness for my Aussie friends here … it took longer to get to me from within Australia than it took to get to Australia from the US … and WTH happened when it landed here? It was at the correct regional center, than went to another state, then back to the correct state, then back to the regional center … then delivered? Thanks AusPost, the two weeks in the country without a tracking update were fun too.
