It’s really getting crazy.
I got my H&S auction catalog last month and there were the normal icons on the cover but lo and behold, occupying the sweet spot was a Pokémon box. Plus, it was one of only 2 or 3 items that were awarded a FULL PAGE inside.
With two days to go it is already at nearly $50,000.00 from a starting price of 20k.
How healthy is the hobby? Very!

I like the strategic placing of the card to cover the dent in the box.
Keep in mind it’s already at 50,000.00 because there’s a winners premium of 23% to add on to the total.
If anybody reading this ends up buying it, you can pick it up in person near Baltimore. The president, Bill Huggins, will even let you open it in his office and if you’re not satisfied with the contents (like the packs aren’t 1st Ed etc) he’ll cancel the deal and refund your money;) The Box should be fine though based on all I’ve seen.
n00b question: Do the bids include the buyers premium or is someone willing to drop $65K+ on this box?

The guy working at the H&S stand during the convention seemed to wonder why I was so excited to see and hold the box. He said he used to buy the packs all the time for $2 lol.
Still find it surreal that Pokemon has made its way up to the big-boy mantle.
Even more surreal that there will be jobs for so many of us in the future as antiques specialists in Pokemon 
I have already been telling people, there needs to be a Pokémon museum
