Hey guys, I’m a little new to getting cards signed and want to check some etiquette before going to a card convention in a few weeks. There’s a card that I want two different voice actors to sign. Is there any reason they’d have an issue with this? Maybe I’m over thinking it, but would love to hear from people who have more experience with this sort of thing. Thanks!
As long as you are not having artist A sign a card that was illistrated by Artist B, all is good. Voice actors probably won’t have any issues with what you propose. You could have each sign one card, would that work?
Got it! Yeah it’s voice actors, not illustrators.
The card has 2 different characters on it, and I want the VAs for each character to sign the same card
They would likely love doing that. Signing something they worked on.
I think it would be fun. Based on what I see, VA seem to be very chill folk and also oblige to fan requests a lot. I think they would find it awesome to be able to sign the same card with a fellow colleague. Do share the card when you get it
Cheers!
The VA are just happy to be getting paid so I’m sure they won’t mind
pretty sure the artists are too. we all eating $5 wendy’s bags
There’s more ego involved (also I didn’t say anything about the artists)
You can afford wendy’s? I’m out here with my spaghetti just being chill, honestly spaghetti and sandwiches are a vibe
I seen quite a few cards signed by two voice actors. For me though I only ever been able to get 1 VA autograph but that has been through send in’s only.
Since your going in person you shouldn’t have a problem unless they specifically say otherwise.
Which voice actors are you planning to see?
Thanks everyone for the feedback, excited that they’ll probably be down for it!
The VAs are Michael Haigney and Eric Stuart, I want to have them both sign my Slowpoke & Psyduck Tag Team fingers crossed it works out and I can share in here afterwards!
That would be awesome to see. I have my fingers crossed for you that it works out.
They’ll love it.
I have a couple of multi signed box toppers. Jessie and James and Brock, Misty, Ash.
There was no issue getting them to do that.
I have a few different cards signed by multiple voice actors. Every interaction I’ve had with them seeing other signatures on the card has been positive. Often jokes about the others or interest in who the others are.
