Tracking Price Trends over years?

Hello. I’m curious if there are resources or information regarding tracking past sales (cards, boosters, packs) over a larger period of time than the limited timeframe ebay allows us to go back…

I’ve found a nice excel sheet somebody posted that showed the 2017 booster box prices, but it would have been cool to see at which years the price jumped between 1996-2017 to check for trends, and the overall direction the sales are heading.

I know comic book retailers have resources like these.

Thank you, this form has been a great resource and has gotten me back to the 2am ebay STRAIGHT OBSESSION.

I made the spreadsheet because I felt there was a lack of information regarding price history. Everyone is welcome to edit that doc, as it is a difficult task, and I haven’t even purchases out of print boxes before. I will be taking more data for it in July

I think for specific cards, there use to be some magazine that did pricing on singles (Pojo?)

I don’t know how accurate it is, but this might be useful.

Just had a look. Appears to only be tracking prices to a maximum of 3 months back.

This is a cool tool to use, but probably largely based off ebay sold listings , which is why it doesn’t go further back than 3 months
