Topps Teknos Series 1

Does anyone have any interesting info on the Topps Teknos series 1 cards?
Are the low pops due to lack of interest / preservation or low pull rates?
When I was old enough to collect they weren’t around which is why I need help
I appreciate it

Purely low pull rates. They are pretty valuable so there is incentive to grade before selling.

They are indeed rare, the tekno holos had a pull rate of 1/15 packs so there were only 2 teknos in one box and they could be any of the 78 pokemon in the set. The set also wasn’t a massively printed one which adds to the rarity, series 2 was even less printed tho.

Thanks so much I appreciate it

Love Topps i don’t have any Sparkles or Teknos. Only have few Spectras slabs ( Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur )

i’m too poor for Sparkle and Tekno :frowning:

iirc Topps Pokemon cards were also not recognized by grading companies until recent years. If they were recognized 20+ years ago there would be a lot more graded I’m sure.

Agreed with others, purely low pull rates. Just my opinion, but I prefer the Spectra to the Sparkle or Tekno variants.
