@tonysandlin, I’m in agreement with @smpratte, here. This would be a great exception!
Alternatively, when you complete your collection, would you consider cameo cards as the next part? Might start hoarding Voltorb/Electrode cameos if you do. 
Perhaps one day as a side collection after I’ve completed my main collection. Although, that day may never come haha
Also, if I do happen to finish the collection, I plan to celebrate by purchasing a PSA10 1ED Base Voltorb and Electrode, my first PSA cards. But, at the rate they are increasing in price, I’ll probably have to use my entire spending budget for the year on those two lol

Today, the Spanish XY Evolutions RH Corrected Electrode arrived, thanks to @darkshadeoriginal! I’m very excited to add it and be one step closer to finishing my collection!
Since this card marks the completion of my XY Evolutions Electrode collection, I figure if write up a more detailed post about it.
There are two variations of the Electrode from this set, the error and corrected. The error version was initially printed with a mistake in the ability text which limited Electrodes ability to only being able to attach itself as 2 energy cards to Lightning type Pokemon. An errata was applied so that Electrode could work for any type of Pokemon and a corrected version was printed to reflect this change. You can easily see the difference by counting the number of Lightning symbols in the ability text. The error version has 3 whereas the corrected version has 2.
While this errata was applied across all languages, it wasn’t printed equally. English, Italian, and Spanish received both a regular and reverse holo reprint. French did not receive a reprint at all. And German apparently only received a reprint for the regular card and NOT the reverse holo. Although this isn’t confirmed, it is my theory that the file for the reverse holo card was not updated and this, did not get printed with the correction. This would explain why both versions are abundant in German for the regular card, but the reverse holo has never surfaced to my knowledge. I will continue passively searching for this card, however.
Here is a picture of all the XY Evolutions Electrodes. From top to bottom is the regular error, reverse error, regular corrected, and reverse corrected. From right to left is Japanese, English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Korean. Both Japanese and Korean have a single card that never needed an errata in the first place.
This picture shows all three of the corrected version reverse holo cards. English, Italian, and Spanish.
So that’s basically the story on this card. It serves as yet another example of how print runs can differ between languages. As more cards come in in the next few months, I plan on detailing more of these unique differences, particularly in the ex era.

It took 41 days, but the Spanish Hidden Fates shiny Voltorb has finally arrived from Mexico. Although it wasn’t my most sought after card, it was relatively difficult to track down and I’m quite thankful to own it. Spanish cards, in general, have become more scarce, even before the pandemic. There are now only two more Voltorbs I need to complete the Spanish Voltorb collection, both of which are sitting at @quuador’s place in The Netherlands
I’ve had the Stormfront Shiny Voltorb for a while, but I wanted to show it off because is unique in Spanish. It is the only version of this card to have a normal holo pattern.
This card in English, German, French, and Italian is reverse holo, but in my opinion, the regular holo is much nicer looking. The Japanese card is sort of a hybrid between holo and reverse holo.

Not worth I think its max a PSA 6, just a fun card I got in a trade. Here they are pretty rare.

Are all those shiny SH Secret Rares from those sets Holofoil instead of Reverse Holo in Spanish? Or was the Voltorb a special release of some sort (like the Holofoil POP9 Pikachu in French came with a blister for example, even though the English, German, and Italian POP9 Pikachu cards are all non-Holo)?

So this morning (around 4 am) I won an auction for the last of my “high priority” cards; the French Hidden Fates Electrode GX. It won’t be here for another week or two, but since were on the topic of French cards, I wanted to share some French exclusive Voltorbs.
The 2019 McDonald’s promo cards came in Happy Meals as single cards. In English there were 12 cards in the set.
In French, however, each Happy Meal came with a pack of 4 cards. There were 40 cards, each with a holo and non holo version. The holofoil appears to be standard for McDonalds cards, but I really like how it looks. Some of the holo pattern shows through the body of the card as well.

The day has finally arrived! After 9 years of searching, my Japanese Legend 3 reverse holo unlimited Electrode Prime has been added to my collection. I’ve posted about this card numerous times, even starting a thread about the unlimited Legend set in hopes increase awareness for these extremely rare cards. Since I began searching for it in 2011, I’ve seen it only one time on a Japanese blog post, where I was unsuccessful in contacting the author to purchase the card. Last month, this one went up for sale on Y!J and a second one popped up shortly after on Mercari. Funny how that happens. Now that I have this card in hand, it feels like a huge weight has lifted off my shoulders.
Here is all of the Japanese Electrode Primes. In Japanese, the Prime cards have a reverse holo variant, the only language to do so.
This picture shows the three unlimited and reverse holo cards from the set. The Voltorb and Electrode were purchased two years ago, I believe, so it took a long time to find those as well.
Well, I don’t have much more to add to this. I’ve already talked about them a million times haha. There are 4 more packages incoming that contain some really nice cards that I’m excited to add.

Yes! Last 2 cards are on their way I’ll post the pics once I have them. It’s not including the reverse holo cards (I’ll post how many of those I have too) but a complete master set with all cards, even the reverse holos, is going to take a much longer time but I’m okay with that! But yea thank you again for all the help along the way! Slowly working on L3 as well

That’s is so awesome. I love to see rare sets completed like this. My favorite ones are the L2/3 and Korean Base Unlimited as well as the Korean ex Ruby and Sapphire. I loved watching GuangJoe complete his Chinese ex Legend Maker set as well.

Although I’ve already said it a few times in our PM conversations, congrats on this huge milestone Eric! Although I partially know the feeling with some cards I’ve recently added after searching for them for 5+ years, I don’t even collect Pokémon cards for 9 years yet, so it must feel extra amazing for you to have this card in your hands. I’m glad it arrived at your place without any problems!
I hope you’re able to find the last few Thai, Indonesian, and Chinese Sun & Moon and Sword & Shield Voltorb/Electrode cards (and maybe the corrected German RH XY Evolutions Electrode if it exists after all) and see a 100% completed collection.
Although I know a few other collectors of a single Pokémon in all languages and variations. And some like you; me with Seviper; and @exomemphiz with Porygon are 99% done, I’ve never actually seen a 100% completed collection of this type. 
It would definitely be an amazing milestone and inspiration to see. If I somehow come across any of those Thai, Indonesian, or Chinese Voltorb/Electrode, I’ll let you know right away. Hopefully you’re able to find them before new Voltorb/Electrode cards have released again to postpone this amazing goal.
