When do these boxes actually get shipped out and hit the market?

The Tohoku is already being shipped out. Mine was supposed to arrive today but I’m away so I rescheduled the delivery to next week

Just keep in mind that PCJP has already announced that more opportunities to buy these special sets will happen. I’m sure market price will be higher now than whenever the extra stock gets in people’s hands.

The 260/SV-P (Tohoku’s) mid August. I think they might have already been send out by now. 
The 261/SV-P (Hiroshima’s) September 4th.
The 289/SV-P (Fukuoka’s) late September.

Prices are quite steep for an item that retails at $14. I’ll definitely wait and hope for a big wave to come.

I bought two boxes for collection just in case the new wave doesn’t come. Will buy more for investment if price come down.

How did you manage to apply for 3 items? My limit for lotteries is 2 items.
I think it is the lottery factor? Everything being hyped aside, I think people are aware that not everyone managed to get through the lottery so the demand will be there, specially to folks outside Japan who were not eligible for lottery applications. I know this is just the first few boxes coming in but I will not be surprised if the prices are never sub 100 USD.

Not a deciding factor but I think TPC/TPCi is preoccupied with Worlds this month. Hopefully there will be a ramp up in printing activity for all things Japanese from September onwards (as had happened with SV sets & VSTAR Universe post-Worlds 2023)

To be fair, this has been said for every special box. Stuff like the Kanazawa box in 2020 was retail for like 4400 yen but secondary market never got below 35000 if I recall correctly. Similar story with stamp box etc. History shows that these types of products rarely flood the market enough to satisfy demand.
If you want the promos and the box, I’d just buy it.

Good point. I was wondering regardless of the printing picking up post worlds, does the lottery aspect and made to order stuff play a part in generating more hype and fomo. Tbh, I am pretty sure anything now from Pokemon is hyped, specially this year. So yea, hoping for stuff easing out sometime soon.

I get your point, and I have the same concern. But I think it’s highly unlikely that prices will rise when the print-on-demand waves are released.
Glad to see the prices have dropped quite a bit, looking to pick up a few of each so I hope the drop continues as time goes on!
There was no limit for these when I applied so all three could be applied for at once. Some other lottos did restrict you to only one item.

Been seeing quite a few reports of quality issues with the cards lately, thought it was worth sharing.
Edit: It’s worth noting that the post history on one of these is questionable (seems to be a reseller more concerned with the resale value) & one of them is focused on the sales of good copies.

Just to follow up on this, there seems to many more complaints coming in, I think due to the placement of the promo in the box - causing many to become bent/creased
