The PWCC Megathread

Yes, it should be “Authentic Altered,” but it looks like PSA missed it when grading.

This was a long time grail. I love old certs for some reason, maybe because I know that it was graded sometime earlier on in its life.

What an awesome pick up! I love everything about this!

Someone paid more than 2x the most recent sale (~5 months ago) for this low pop PSA 10.

Still cheap

It is indeed low pop but that’s still paying the price of 12 box fresh copies for 1.

Meanwhile the 9 costs almost half the box

Although certainly not a concrete idea, if you consider most pack fresh cards would land as a PSA 8/9/10 the numbers would point to a 1 in 16ish chance of pulling a 10, so may be cheaper to buy a 10 directly. That is also if you can purchase 12 sealed decks for $300 each, which may not be possible.

16 boxes * $300 each - 15 PSA 9 * $180 each means youre still ahead by $1600 vs buying it directly at $3700.

But my point is not to say that the price is wrong or anything. Just another example of a PSA 10 where 95% of the valuation comes from the label alone

Old cert too. May as well be a 7

Hadn’t considered the cards from the opened boxes could be resold haha :man_facepalming:

I don’t disagree with your point about PSA 9 vs 10 at all, although I do typically find myself paying the premium for egos sake.

I’m with @pfm, that is an insane price to pay for that card. Now wishing I hadn’t sold my self-graded 10 for $200 in 2017

The value of 9s >>> PSA 10s

Just so everyone knows, PWCC has added 2.9% credit card fee at checkout.

Just paid my invoice for an auction that ended this sunday. Checked the prior week’s invoice and the 2.9% credit card fee was not charged. Glad it wasn’t a big card. Keep this in mind when bidding!

PWCC has completely alienated it’s customer base. Just show me the total price I have to pay for the card up front on the same screen that I input my max bid on.

Can confirm the credit card fee.

PWCC also tried to charge me $3 for vaulting a $155 card that they valued at $25. Make sure that you Request an Edit for wrong appraisals!

Everytime I hover my mouse over the bid now button:

Price to hold the card in my hand= extraction fee %(.029(bid amount selected * 1.2)) + shipping fee

At this rate by 2026 we will need a graphing calculator to calculate the price to hold the card in my hand.

Is it already enshittification time for PWCC?

Fanatics does one thing quite well, enshittify.

Lol you can always just go to the next bid amount in the drop down and it shows you the full price, you don’t have to bid

PWCC atleast added a link stating the 2.9% credit card fee. Transparency is key, a link is better than nothing.
