Does anyone know what happened to PokeSyn?
I say before we get too excited with these prices let’s wait and see if they’re actually paid for 
Shadowless is confirmed.
He sadly took some time off after another ‘hot’ debate here on E4- he sees them as the real 1st edition cards and loved to argue/discuss about it, but some people thought he was doing this to “hype” up those cards etcetc. So he basiclly said fuck it & took some time off together with his noraritanz.
Really miss the guy though, before i became member here iv’e been lurking around for atleast a year- loved his passionate ramblings- nowadays E4 is becoming more&more some reddit’ish club with people showing off standard cards & packopenings(?) -the elite part is dissapearing a bit 
Lot of threads with basic BS stuff or people (shit)posting for some attention… i get that the hobby is growing & we should welcome all these new members with open hands but mannnnn these threads were way interesting before the boom- i come here for the articles, history, dedication and niche/rare products -
and don’t get me wrong, still love this site but i’m also noticing an increase of attentionWhorering and people just posting for the heck of it, not really to contribute something to the discussion and/or forum.
On a Sidenote… I also posted about my cat in my collectionthread so i might also contribute to this shitposting thing 
That isn’t what happened at all.
Pokesynd went off his medication and started saying insane libelous drivel about Gary, Ed an myself. He has serious mental health issues, and needs serious help.
Also I am unaware of a Pokemon utopia that exists in reality. This site isn’t one, no site is one. Not sure how being negative about apparent negativity results in a positive.

Owh damn, did not realize this as i was just lurking around back then- i apoligize if i offended you guys with this. Just saw pkmnsyndct last few posts about taking some time off because of the whole discussion, did not read all of the insane stuff and him actually having mental illness problems- always supposed it was some ‘role’ he was playing since everyone seemed to get along in the threads.
I guess i do romanticize things and create some kinda “backtheneverythingwasbetter” idea in my head and try to get that Pokémon Utopia irl with negative babbeling- might be cause im still a bit upset/depressed about my cat.
Thanks for the insight anyway- I needed that. i should stick to positive way of thinking (&E4 is still farrrrup&aheadthebest thing iv’e seen as far as pkmnCollecting goes)
I will stop posting non-contributing stuff if i don’t know for sure whats really goin’ on from now on

@jahbless91 Honestly the whole ordeal was pretty brutal. Pokesynd and I were very close. I probably have thousands of messages between us. I don’t have much experience with mental illness, but I just tell myself the stuff he said wasn’t him.
Anyway, I hope he can recover and sustain a healthier life.

Yes, what Scott said is accurate.
I believe @gemmintpokemon made a point about price distribution within a single grade awhile back and the PSA 10 shadowless Charizard is a good example of that. A weak 10 sold for $13k and now this strong 10 sells for $20k. I think this is how it will be going forward. We can’t expect every PSA 10 card to sell at the same price. There shouldn’t be a single price tag for a PSA 10, 9, etc card, but there should be a range. PSA provides their opinion, but it’s good to see the buyer paying more or less based on their personal opinion of the grade.
There’s still a huge gap between a strong 9 and weak 10 especially for this card. I wonder if some of the strong 9s will increase in price and bridge that gap.

Think we should respect no rarity abit more, always found it much more interesting and historical than shadowless actually

No one is disrespecting no rarity, it simply isn’t valued. Every time this topic comes up I say the same thing: outside of charizard the cards have not increased in value. In 2013-14 PSA 10 holos were selling for 2-3 times what they are today. Compound that aspect with the fact the market experienced the most growth from 2013 - present, the obvious reason is lack of interest.

No rarity will never be 1st edition zard. No matter the price is gets people will always prefer the latter

I just don’t get the extra interest. Having a set feels no more cool to me than my shadowless sets. In fact, long term I’m afraid they’d be a flop:(

I’m sure this has been discussed 100 times and I know your post was a joke and that you don’t agree with chum Lee. But the debate that no rarity is the true 1st edition is so rediculous. Lol 1st edition is the name given to 1st edition cards. Because it litterally says “1st edition” on the card. if you want to say that no rarity are the true 1st printing of the classic Charizard artwork. Then Bingo! You’re correct. But calling them 1st edition is silly, and in reply to a couple posts above. PokemonSyndicate is still part of the community. The Instagram community. I have chats with him often. He seems to be doing okay. He’s a very nice guy, and is definitely passionate about no rarity and shadowless. He’s been open about is mental illness to me, and seems pretty realistic about mistakes he’s made! I don’t know a whole lot! But I wish him the best!

Next auctions are up, another small block this month, less than 500 items. Not a whole lot available either, only two PSA 10 1st Ed base holos, there have been less and less each block for the past few months.

Really interesting to see the trend. Curious if it’s due to scarcity or sellers wising up since PWCC auctions have ended so low all year.
