If the mew is paid for i would be quite surprised tbh. I’m pretty sure that would be the highest ever recorded price for a set based Japanese gold star.
Someone or a group is shilling gold stars on every pwcc auction block. Getting annoying now. Japanese mew, pikachu eng and espeon gold stars also seem very likely shilled
But if the Gold Stars are being shilled, why not across the board? Japanese GS Pikachu sold for much less than it did a few months ago (I know because I bought at peak price ). Japanese 1st ed Regirock (the 2nd lowest pop of psa10 Gold Stars among the 1st editions) sold for only $1275, undervalued imo.
It’s not like I don’t want to believe they’re shilled (in fact it would be beneficial for me if the ones I still want to buy have a lower market value than it seems), but is there actual proof?
just have a max price in mind and dont go over it, tons of cards I wanted went higher than they should (probably shilled) while mine went way below what it should. They are set cards, there are always more and not every auction is shilled
This could not be more true. It’s strange than a PSA 8 is often better than a BGS 8.5. Gotta look for the 9+ sub grades for something equal in condition to a PSA 9.
They aren’t all being shilled, mainly the higher end ones. From the last auction, both gyarados and zard went unpaid. From this auction, I doubt the 3 I mention gets paid but not sure on espeon.
When I open a PWCC vault and I send the cards there for storage, lets say I send a 1000$ card there. As far as I understand I can at any time send the cards to my home again, but lets say its been a few years and the marked value of the card is 5000$ and I want it home, do they then send the card back as a 5k card? For me that would mean 1250$ import on my own card
Tell that to the goverment, they only look at the price on the item coming into Norway, besides there is no way for them to tell that the items is mine (?)
I can´t speak for norway but usually you have to get a customs document specifically describing what goods you´re exporting, that way you can get the specific items you listed back without having to pay fees again.
@shadowless do you know if you have to own a business to be able to do that? I’m pretty sure it’s that way for grading cards, to customs that’s “refining” items. I would feel uncomfortable describing all the individual items with their exact value on the outside of the parcel, just invites theft
Regardless, I would always only send items to PWCC I plan to sell there in the future 100% to avoid any trouble.
Same in Italy you’d pay import taxes no matter what. It’s a losing battle no doubt. I travel for my job quite a bit so my plan is to eventually fly there but quite frankly even if I do miss them I feel much much safer with them being in their vault, lifetime fully insured for free.
You are in Germany too, right? @pokemonunboxing ah, then it´s close to the german customs as well, you can only prolong this period with a certain method called Carnet, but you need to be registered as a business and be part of a certain association.
