PSA 10 Shining Tyranitar/Raichu/Gyarados/Magikarp are all confirmed sold on PWCC.

Tbh these cards are bound to have these prices, their pop report is still very low (considering how wildly popular the shinies are), how hard is to come across a Neo Destiny box and their humongous price tag.
Also getting a Mint (unl or 1st) of these is difficult nowadays.
Ima let you finish, but japanese shining cards are hard AF to grade!

CoroCoro Mew may be the toughest of them all, only 13% gem rate. I blame the glossiness on that

Centering is largely terrible as well apparently. I’ve not noticed it since there is so much supply overall that you see plenty of good centered copies but I’m informed this is the case. Unlike fankarp where it’s a rare card to begin with and 95% of all copies have really poor centering.

The shinings side of the trade is approx $56k in my latest (not completely recent) estimation, give or take. Looking crudely at the three recent Zords on PWCC gives an average of $25k. Not suggesting at all that the score is posted for all eternity but interesting to see how many people were dead set on the Zord, shinings not even a consideration!

@xuzu, I guess most people just assumed that the most popular card in the game was bound to do well, and much less people took the time to research the pop numbers, pull rates and average card condition of the Japanese Shinings. Admittedly, October 2019 was the calm before the storm and Japanese cards were and still are considered niche, so back then it was by no means obvious how prices for the Japanese Shinings would develop.
Moral of the story is just to get what you like the most, trying to be that particular in your future predictions is a fools errand. If it was me and I’d taken the shinings in that trade and today’s values were reversed I know I’d be absolutely delighted to have the shinings still, wouldn’t care too much about value. Lastly, the cream always rises to the top

Yeah I was eyeing that one as well, bonkers. I’ve been feeling like PWCC hasn’t been getting sellers as much for their card as of late but those shining prices were a real surprise.

Yeah, I remember seeing PWCC auctions of the same cards going for significantly less just a month prior, if not, just a couple of weeks prior. The $3400 TTar sale was definitely closer to what I have been seeing, especially for a non-PWCC auction.
Was wondering if anyone has had any issues sending cards to PWCC vault with ebay. I just went through the biggest nightmare for two 5 figure cards. I tried to send them to PWCC vault, but I believe ebay was flagging it as fraud somehow since I may have never shipped an item to that location and they were high dollar items. I talked with ebay support multiple times and they just told me they’d open a ticket for me.
Was just curious if anyone ever ran into this? Maybe I need to establish my identity on ebay as shipping to that address first? I had no issues (accidentally) sending a non pokemon card to PWCC vault, lol. but anything over $100 on ebay was getting rejected. my bank told me purchases were fine and the issue was on ebay side. PWCC said they haven’t run into this issue and just deferred to me wiring $$.
ultimately I gave up and ended up sending them to myself and paying a nice sales tax bill.
