The PWCC Megathread

To be fair, how can any large place prevent non-paying buyers?

besides the publicity, they dont seem to offer a ton of benefits to auctioning yourself. It still is around 10% fees give or take, without any sort of seller/buyer protection besides the standard ebay policies? Or are there other bonuses that I am missing?

plus over 750$ fee cap, it would actually cost less to auction yourself right? Isnt their fee structure a flat percentage no matter the end price

I dont have to take photos
I dont need to make the listings
I dont need to pack anything
I dont need to ship
I dont need to store items
I dont need to worry about insurance at my house
I dont need to worry about returns
I dont need to worry about getting scammed

all of those things take like 10 mins though, and it sounds like you can still be scammed

Give me a scenario where you can get scammed

They offer no returns

Just because they offer no returns you can’t be scammed? 99% of every ebay listing says no returns and ebay doesn’t care about that

I dont really have anything against pwcc just trying to figure out exactly what they offer. If its just that I dont have to list it myself I dont mind taking pictures, because Id need to pack and ship to pwcc anyways

PWCC special deal with Ebay. No returns means no returns unless they mess up a listing title.

Ah interesting. I may give it a shot for some niche items since the publicity seems to be the key thing Im getting here

As in, the Vault user cannot get scammed - PWCC would be scammed and has to deal with the consequences. If someone claims INR, PWCC has to deal with it, not the Vault user.

That is a good feature, but unless I am selling I really want to see the stuff I bought and spent years collecting. The vault would be good if I had no attachment I guess

People trust buying from PWCC and they let you pay with Crypto which people do for tax reasons. Im 100% sure things like my Bulba wouldnt have sold for 15k if I did it myself

But do you think it did because of publicity or trust in PWCC? I dont really know I am just curious tbh. I trust a decent feedback ebay seller same as a auction house but maybe thats naive of me

Yeah, but barely any of us have thousands of positive sales feedback on Ebay for people to trust us on 5 and 6 figure deals.

Selling via vault doesn’t make sense for people like TCA and others, but for us Ebay plebs it does

One probable reason is account credit people have accrued through their own sales through PWCC.

Oh I had no idea that was a thing. Makes sense I overpay for stuff on TT with credit just cause it is store credit so makes sense

Is PWCC still terribly backed up? They’ve screwed up my last two auction purchases. April, showed delivered almost up until May’s auction. I messaged them, then magically everything was scanned and curated in one day. Then May’s auction I had my ebay ship to address for that purchase set to my home address, rather than send them to my vault, and they still sent them to my vault. Been waiting on a reply from their “shipping team” for a couple business days now.

Are they still buried from the free promo?

Cards that I won are already shipped and processed through Portland, OR for the block ending May 29th. I didn’t buy anything particularly expensive so maybe it takes longer to process those orders of higher amounts, but I see your situation is a bit different.

It’s not really store credit lol It’s legally dubious, but it’s usually people not wanting proceeds of sales to hit a bank account that can be tracked
