Anyone else noticing BW full arts popping off recently? Checked in on lugia thinking it was flirting with a grand and its going crazy! It was going for $800-500 less a couple months ago

That makes sense. I wasn’t ecpecting non BW mon cards to really be effected by Black Bolt/White Flare but the whole era having some moment makes sense. Hoping they go a bit down at some point!

even last year it was still around 500/600 i think. It did seem underrated though. Prices were already at like 150,- for the packs for ages. Glad i bought mine for 55,- in mid 2020

Oh yeah, hard agree they were underrated. Just figured I had a bit more time before they went too crazy

Depends on the card. As I was discussing earlier BW is definitely going up, but lots of SV has been dropping

Nope, at least not high-mid end Modern. 151 for example is starting to slowly rise again after a bit of a price drop over the last few months.
For example, 151 Blastoise PSA 10 was up to $325ish at its peak, and dropped to $240-$250 a few months ago. Its slowly climbing back up and is at $270ish now.

the latios and latias gs’s are pretty dope u can see where the market is if they end near the “private” sales, the “sales” that went unpaid multiples times last year or somewhere in between

If I may ask what did you notice specifically that showed you that prices seem to be going down? I am genuinely curious because who knows maybe some cards / sealed products could very well be starting to dip

The only XY era card that I noticed a notable dropoff in price was the PSA 10 Charizard EX XY121 that sold for 3k on 27 july 2025
peaked with 2 4k sales earlier this summer

But everything else still climbs, I was tired yesterday so I decided not to spam market thread as I always do but here are some notable sales.
I remember the Charizard #100 was ~2k in early 2025, the gold weather trio was 4k, the shaymin was 1.4-1.9k, the kyurem was 1.25k,and the gold reshi was 1.7k

My observations:
Sealed market seems to be chugging along upward.
Graded market generally seems strong.
Ungraded market seems solid.
The old PokemonPrice website used to be a great resource for getting a feel for the market in general terms by allowing users to view sets as indices. You can use the mobile app Collectr to do the same thing. The function is part of their set analytics offering. I’m not sure if it is exclusive to pro members, but here is a breakdown of some of the older sets over the past 6 months.
