It’s so weird how the landscape has changed. Not even a full year ago, people would see an outlier sale 2x higher than the last and assume it was either shilled or wait for another auction to end to see if the price held (it usually didn’t). Now, whatever a card sells for is immediately treated as gospel. Hence why I feel even if these cards are being paid for there are people using this to their advantage to manipulate a very young and immature collector base.
