Can’t speak specifically to this. I do Believe that it’s 144 business days from the time it’s received. So almost 7 month turn around at this point. I’m sure it’s going to go up to a year with PSA closed for a few months.
Hey all. Wanted to get an opinion on two cards that I’m considering grading.
To set this up: these cards are being graded for the intent of selling. A friend reached out and asked me to liquidate her collection. The base Zard was pulled from a pack in 2000 and the CD Promo was purchased for $5 back in 2005 – so entry cost is minimal.
If graded, these would get sent to CGC – express level, with subgrades.
I’m unsure about back centering, the edge wear on the Base Zard, and the surfaces of both.
Yes, it’s one of his. I just compared it with my first edition non-holo Dark Charizard, first edition holo Dark Raichu, and a first edition holo Fossil Moltres. This card in question looks shinier than all these other holo and non-holo cards from the same era. It’s almost like it’s got a layer of varnish on it. Is this normal?
Between yesterday and today another 4 of my orders have been entered. They are really pumping them into the system now. Maybe once this backlog is all entered they will reassign some of those folks to grading and crank that step out
Hey not sure weather to ask in here or in the Ludkins board but do y’all know if the tracker is updated appropriately? I was pretty happy to see my express get put into research and ID, but it’s been about two weeks. I noticed others in this thread posting their dates and usually it’s only a few days between research and grading. But not sure if that’s through psa website or Ludkins tracker. Does the card or cards have any influence on this? Thanks
Ludkins tracker doesn’t seem to be real time and may be off by a few days… Some people have reported getting cards back in-hand while tracker still shows it’s in a processing step. I have one submission still in grading that’s on it’s way back from PSA per Ludkins email. The tracker definitely shows you at least the earliest stage your cards could be in, but it’s possible your cards could be further along that what is currently shown.
I would definitely grade this card. I always tell people, if you can make at least $50 after grading, it’s worth it.
Just from the pictures, the card is slightly slanted, and heavy to the left. Edges and corners are beautiful, especially for a WOTC card.
I would buy a grading magnifier tool, with a black light to check for surface wrinkles and hidden surface scratches.
PSA is more forgiving on PSA 10’s and BGS is more strict for black labels.
I hope i can still get a 9 with these print lines. There’s one horizontal and one vertical. Everything else is clean. It’s currently at psa via super express so I’ll know soon. Thoughts?
