15$ grading at PSA before the end of 2027! Calling it now
This is not correct lol
I don’t look back at 2021 like that, would expect in 5 years we’ll look at 2026 like we look at 2021 now
Vivid Voltage reverse holos actually being graded wasn’t a weird memory for you?
Weird? Sure. But today I would say that was a profitable decision, even more so by 2026 standards.
Yeah you’re right, I’m predicting $14 grading specials by EOY 2027!

Lower?
Jeez you are pretty bearish on the market…,
This is memeable for anyone interested: the gold label of a CGC pristine next to 2 spots of edgewear and a roughed up corner. Seriously, I was hoping for a 9, pristine feels like the grader wasn’t even looking. They musta been having a good day. Now now now, I have seen the same type of laughable grades from PSA too. Just happens I’m using CGC more lately. Safe to say 1 in 10 cards regardless of the company are misgraded in my experience, but this submission felt more like 1 in 2 were misgraded. anyway…
As always, sell over graded cgc pristines asap.
you know what though? every grader has their quirks
CGC is certainly the easiest grader out of the big ones but they all have their own unique systems and punish in their own ways
PSA is unreasonably hard on any type of whitening. See that tiny little barely visible dot on the top left corner? If that was a vintage card and the rest of the card was absolutely perfect PSA would 9 that card still. It’s come to the point that it’s literally impossible to Gem many vintage cards as certain releases simply dont come out perfect. Whereas CGC is the most lenient on edge and corner wear
On the flipside CGC hammers surface the hardest out of all the companies. They use a weighted grading scale and surface has the highest weight. Compare that to Beckett where surface carries the lowest weight and your final score can be a full point above the surface subscore
Are you adding to collection or selling? It won’t PSA 10 if that’s what you are asking
looks like Beckett is pausing lower service tiers, joining PSA and Tag
Seems like CGC is the only major company accepting Bulk right now
PSA Backlog went up lmao
“ July 28, 2026 Update
Our active backlog is up to 12.4 million units, increasing from 11 million as of our July 14 update. This increase was driven by a variety of factors, including increased submission volume in higher service tiers, an ongoing wave of shipments arriving to meet the 45-day eligibility window following our initial service tier shutdown, and convention-season submissions.”
News from the future on Jan 1: Okay guys so we are never reopening. Pay $79.99 or no slabs for you ![]()
Tag couldn’t handle 40k a month? Lol ouch
I will say I used eBay to grade a recent purchase with PSA at the Value Plus Tier, the current lowest I think
It’s a jumbo Lugia so I’d have to submit at a higher tier anyway and they are clearly still open to taking grading-at-checkout subs from eBay.
My order was scanned in really fast. The expected completion date is Oct 30th- Nov 30
So a wide window but 3 months seems fast lmao
appreciate the advice, looking to maximise grade. seems like its gonna be beckett or cgc
edit realised this was replying to somone else but still good tips
i need da moneh, so best grading company for best financial outcome
