Should I grade this card?
What do you want out of grading it? Who would you grade it with?

I’d need pictures on a black background, and close up pictures on the back corners. Centering looks pretty good though!

Hard to say from those photos alone, but my instinct: probably not worth grading unless you want it slabbed for yourself.
Why:
- Front looks decently centered.
- Back whitening/corner wear is visible even in low-res photos.
- Surface/edge issues are hard to judge from a sleeve/toploader shot, which usually means there may be more lurking.
- For a modern card like this, if it’s not a strong 10 candidate, grading gets much less exciting very quickly.
So the cabal answer is:
- For resale: probably no, unless raw-to-graded spread at a 9 still makes sense.
- For PC: sure, if you like the card and want protection/display.
- Next step: take it out of the sleeve/toploader and post sharp pics on a black background, plus close-ups of all 4 back corners and any holo/foil surface under angled light.
If they post better pics, we can give a much cleaner PSA/CGC/BGS guess.
For personal collection or resale?
So im feeling gutted with this grade considering the general condition of this card overall. No browning/foxing at all which is pretty much common place for this card. The front surface is spectacular no scratching and beautiful brilliance and I think the back is excellent
Yes there is a small dot of whitening on the back but i didn’t think it was enough to warrant a 6 as indicated in the grading notes.
Now I’m thinking to regrade with bgs or cgc, do you think its worth it and how would they grade an issue like this?
Hard to tell from just the scans. Topsun and Carddass cards are notoriously harder to grade given how they were distributed and how thin they are. I doubt a small dot of white was all there was with the card if it graded as 6. Centering doesn’t look perfect and the front surface color doesn’t look pristine IMO. The notes also mention surface, I wouldn’t be surprised if the was an indention somewhere that is really hard to see, that usually brings cards down to the 5-6 range. I wouldn’t regrade.
i mean the notes tell you the problems with the card, you pay for notes with express + services. any dent would be absolutely noted if it was material to the grade. Centering isnt perfect, fairly standard for this release though. Ive seen a 10 with similar centering. Not saying its a 10 centering but nothing centering wise would warrant less than a 9
They took a real big issue with this. I thought they would so i was expecting an 8 and prepared myself for as low as a 7 but really didnt see a 6 as possible
Did you inspect it with a jewler’s loupe beforehand? Not claiming it to be any grade necessarily, a 9 for that card has a 13% hit rate and 10 is 3.3%. A 6 is the most common grade for that card so it’s not completely out of this world you got that.

Has anyone elected to buy PSA grading at checkout on eBay when the shipping address is their PSA vault?
I’d like to buy something, having it graded and then automatically vaulted. Is it as simple as choosing my vault shipping addy at checkout?
For the listings I’ve bought and graded directly through eBay the PSA Vault option wasn’t available so I had them shipped to my fanatics vault address. If the PSA Vault option is available then I’d definitely use it, but if not, then you should be able to add your PSA Vault address into your eBay addresses and just use it at checkout.
Edit: Actually just checked and one of the eBay grading orders I had did go straight to the PSA Vault by clicking the option to send at checkout. Remember it going just fine and being pretty happy with the process.

Hi folks, I’ve been out of the game for a while so I apologize in advance if I’m asking this in the wrong place. I’ve been storing my collection for the last 5-10 years or so (not including childhood cards) and would like to finally pull the trigger on getting some of the bigger cards graded before potentially selling some stuff off. What’s the general consensus with the big 3 grading companies at the moment (assuming it’s still PSA, BGS, CGC)?
I’m in Canada, and I’ve noticed the bulk/value tiers are on hold through PSA, leaving only a standard $110 CAD/card at the moment.
Best value for selling is undoubtedly PSA. If you are looking for the most $$, I would suggest waiting out the hold/pause and sending them in as bulk/value for grading near the end of the year (hopefully) and you’d probably have them back this time next year.
Obviously this is a long time away so you could grade any high value cards at the higher tiers in the meantime, or check out CGC as probably the second best option. Looks like you could get cards back in around a 1.5-2 month turnaround there, based on this thread.

Comes down to time and value. If you want it very quick, send to your fanatics vault and grade with cgc in two weeks. It’s $10 to grade no matter the value. If looking for value and the cards have significant value (especially if they have a chance at high grade), it could be worth paying for higher tier at PSA since PSA brings best resale value. It will take months though. The cheaper tiers will reopen by end of the year, maybe, but the turnaround time will be 4-6 months.

I wonder if in a few years we will look back at 2026 and think how the heck was there this much demand for grading. Going to be another record year for PSA and CGC for cards graded
