I would think that shipping is more costly, so that is why there is diffrent price on International and US. You recived a “book” a couple of times…
I had 3 order sent together last time, and arrived same time, entered same time. 1 tok 2 weeks to grad, 1 took 4 weeks, and last 5 weeks. All order had 20 cards…
I actually did this last year with some of my cards (few old, other modern), but it was when PSA was closed or the cards costed 100-200$ each Still love to have them protected but if the cost it’s almost the same, I think have it slabbed with PSA it’s better in long term.
p.s. sorry for post something from a random grading company here, please dont hate me
Looks like you got me beat. Mine were entered on the 16th and they are still in grading
$30 tier sub arrived 6/29 is now in assembly, $50 tier sub arrived 7/08 still in grading
interested to see the difference between value and economy
beautiful cards and surpisingly good looking slabs (except for the edges) whats the name of the grading company?
It’s MTG Grade. Regarding the slab, it was changed a few months ago, now they have this one
I’m order to qualify for the July special, I just need to submit the order on the website before August 1, and ship within 30 days, right?
It used to be when the shipping label was printed, but that was before PSA was bought out.
Hey guys. Looking for some advice, I submitted a celebi gold star to PSA via middleman and it graded 10. Its not a 10. Ive asked the opinions of like a fair few collectors and stores and mostly we are in the expect 7 hope for 8 range. PSA has upcharged me and its coming back, Im wondering what you guys think? Sell it as a “weak” 10? Feels somewhat unethical. Never heard of someone sending it back to PSA for a lower grade though!
PSA does have an “Authenticity and Grade Guarantee”, but you can’t submit a card to that if you’re the original submitter. That said, I have never heard someone have a good experience with it anyway, it seems like they usually send it back and say “nope we looked at it again, definitely a 10.”
I understand why you would feel a little yucky selling it, but the reality is if you auction (or consign) it and there are good photos, it’s up to the bidders. There’s a PSA “10” Master Scroll out there that is very clearly more like an 8, and whenever it’s auctioned it goes for less than “real 10s”. That said, I think it has gone for more than a 9 every time, so that just goes to show you how much people focus on the little number on the label rather than the card inside.
I agree with @jonbo on the PSA Authenticity and Grade Guarantee. Not something that you can do yourself, but something that a future buyer could request.
Some buy grades while others buy cards. Best to sell it with very clear and obvious photos + a description that suggests that you believe that the card may have been misgraded. The bidders will then determine what it is worth. Who knows, a misgraded 10 may be a collector’s dream because they can say that they “have it” while getting a “deal” at the same time.
Thats fair, Ive been burned by sellers before so I dont want to do the same. Incidentally how do you sell big ticket things, Ive never sold on ebay before, I have like 50+ve ratings but as a buyer do people get weird about someones one listing being an over 1k item?
You can always consign with someone to sell the card. I would not feel bad about the 10. Take good pictures/scans of the card. PSA assigned the grade - they are the professionals. If people see the pictures and want a perfect 10 they will move on. Some people are more interested in the psa label than the actual card encased.
yea, as far as im aware you just need to complete the submission before the end of July when it expires. i just completed mine the other day, but havent had time to get to the post office yet, but it says the submission is good as long as the cards arrive at PSA within 30 days of completing the submission online
I agree with @cardstockpile. Consigning is a great idea if you are U.S.-based and don’t want to trigger a 1099-K tax form over one eBay sale. If you are outside of the U.S., consigning can also make a lot of practical sense shipping- and exposure-wise.
This is always unfortunate for everyone involved. Ideally PSA would make it right, as I think everyone would agree thats closer to an 8. Now doing consignments, I’ve definitely had people submit some softer grades. When they go through authenticity guarantee its a done deal. But thats more of a band-aid than a resolution. As seen with the false 10 scroll, its just unfortunate and wish psa would solve the issue.
Woah, Ludkins has deleted their IG and FB pages
Anyone had any experiences with Dan’s Pokestop? Tempted to send some sports cards ~
Ludkins UK has changed to @psacarduk on facebook. Suggest looking into that as its significantly cheaper than other UK middlemen + it’s an actual direct PSA forwarding service so hopefully should be faster grading than going with a middleman
