They need to shut down bulk/economy/standard, like, NOW.

hey since psa is reopening soon again i am living in eu and we have to pay importtax on the declared value of the package can anyone tell me what psa declares for their packages? do they declare the value i declare when submitting or do they just declare the grading fee or do the declare anything at all?

What makes you say they’re reopening soon? Did they announce something I missed?

They declare the grading fee plus shipping cost

Their plan has always been July 1, though exactly what they’re going to do on that date has changed from “all service tiers” to “starting to introduce suspended tiers”. Seemingly it’ll just be Express on July 1 and the lower tiers at a later date, but we don’t yet have confirmation on exactly what their plans are, just “July 1”.

That’s what I thought. Not exactly a grand reopening. I wonder if they will delay even that.

I should be getting my Ludkins UK May 2020 submission back tomorrow. They were kind enough to let me know one of the certificates up-front so I could find all the grades. The submission was registered by PSA on 31st July 2020 and the cards have 487xxxxx certificates.

I know from the PSA pop report parsing I do that @blackbelt172 's recent (presumably walkthrough) returns were graded around 2nd May with 614xxxxx certificates and mine were graded 3 weeks later on 23rd May. This implies that PSA’s backlog still consists of multiple millions of cards.

This is also interesting in that blackbelt’s PSA 10 unlimited E1 Pichu was graded 3 weeks before mine, yet mine has a significantly lower certificate number. If anyone here places higher value in cards they believe to be the first graded copy you may want to think twice if it has a post-4xxxxxxx certificate.

Considering PSA has only graded 1.73 million Pokémon cards in total I think the 12.7 million gap between 487xxxxx and 614xxxxx really emphasises firstly how small of a percentage Pokémon makes up in the overall number of cards PSA grade and secondly just how many cards have been submitted in the past 10 months.

@pichufan Cert numbers are allocated to cards at the Research stage but you can only find out in the Grading stage. They are not allocated to cards after they completed grading.

Yep, it still gives off much the same information though. It means there’s a very large 10 million+ gap between bulk submissions and walkthrough submissions. I’d imagine that that gap is now close to 10 times greater than it was back in May 2020.

Illustration of PSA progress since shutdown. Credit for this info goes to psacard.ctd on Instagram. I do not believe it will take this long to get subs back but it is interesting to see.

Is that a 1200 day estimate for economy submissions?? just floating around 3 years casually

I could be wrong but I think that they go off business days, so more like 4.6 years? Lol someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Although I feel I’m still in for a long long wait.

My submission went into assembly in Jan 17th, they didn’t finish grading until a few days ago. You probably going to wait much longer than you’d imagine.
