Is it common sight nowadays that cards submitted to PSA come back with cases which have two different designs?
As an example here’s PSA 10 trio of Wild Force SAR beasts. Gouging Fire/Walking Wake have same case with flat area around the card, on other hand Raging Bolt’s case has a small ridge in same place and number 21 in bottom left corner is much smaller.
