The Giant Pokémon non-TCG Identification Thread

The rest I dont know. However the back of the second card [2006] gives me bandai vibes, and the advanced character card is 99.9% from a table game, most likely Takara Tomy.

Yeah, I knew it was a bootleg, like 95%+ of all Peruvian stickers, but I’m still kinda curious which company made it, since they did put it as ©2023.

And thanks for letting me know about that those Chilian Salo 2007 stickers, since now I have another sticker to add to my wanted list.

Makes sense, thanks.

Yeah, I know those are magazine inserts, but I don’t know from which magazine. It does look similar to the Starmie mentioned in orannge’s thread, but the Kindergarten Magazine you mentioned there only contains gen 1 Pokémon.
I honestly don’t know how to properly search for specific inserts among the thousands of different Pokémon magazines. If there is a place where I could view all kind of magazines (or just their inserts) lmk, since I know multiple Seviper inserts I’m still missing.

Yeah, the first English card and Japanese Character card are both most likely from some kind of board game. Not sure which one, though. :upside_down_face:

No problem, it probably isnt the only Serviper item from Salo :winking_face_with_tongue:

About this I dont know any specific site. What i usually do (with everything) is that i take screenshots everytime i find a mewtwo i had never seen before, or an image that i know will likely help me in the future with identification. I have a lot of screenshots xd. For example just searched in my gallery for the pogs, this is what i could find:

2006 French Non-TCG Card is from Pokémon: The Champions of Hoenn Board Game (Pokémon: Les Champions de Hoenn) (Manufacturer: Cartamundi)

Your card back/front style of card matches all of the cards from this board game.

Pictures:

Japanese Pokémon Advanced Character Card is from Aim to Be a Pokémon Master Game! Advanced Generation (めざせ! ポケモンマスターゲーム アドバンスジェネレーション)

(Manufacturer: TOMY):

Your card matches the small red cards with Pokemon on them.

Pictures from an old Rakuten listing:

Translation of box title is from the fact that it shares its title with the first Japanese opening theme of the anime (めざせポケモンマスター).

There is no indication from photos when the box was made, however, my best guess is around 2004. This is because a listing from Mercari (メルカリ) shows an advertisement included in the box for an ANA airline campaign that has the same plane design as this plane (https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-747-400-ja8957-all-nippon-airways/ronn0e), which was painted in 2004.

The styling of the Advanced Character card makes me think of Pokemon Master Trainer (3), but I’m not sure if it was a Takara Tomy → Hasbro license like the other two Pokemon Master Trainer games were.

There’s a surprising lack of info on Pokemon boardgames (in English at least), I assume due to the lesser all ages appeal compared to things like the video games, the TCG and even things like plush.

Edit: I got sniped lol

I am not too long a member on e4, but I have seen some crazy things …

but THIS is just mind-blowing @sableguy , identifying items of long time collectors like the easiest thing in the world. I hope to one day reach a similar kind of knowledge. I am blown away. :exploding_head::exploding_head::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::hugs::hugs:

I agree. I mean it is just fascinating to see @sableguy just show up and identify some really niche stuff. The last 2 days I was like, where has this person been for so long. Really great job sableguy. Really appreciate all the knowledge you are sharing.

Cheers!

Nice, thanks! I do spot one of the two Sevipers in that second image (bottom-center sheet of the nine, and then on the second row). So Yochien Mini Menkos it is.

I guess that unpeeled sheet goes to my wanted list as well, haha. (And looks like there’s an item where Seviper and Grimer/Muk are sitting snuggly side-by-side, @joponnes. )

I do something similar, although only for things I know contains a Seviper, or items I’m unsure of whether it contains a Seviper. It sounds like you save even more pictures of every type of non-TCG item. Then again, there are likely a lot more items containing a popular gen 1 Pokémon like Mewtwo compared to an unpopular gen 3 Pokémon like Seviper.
(One example of pictures I’ve saved when I wasn’t sure whether Seviper would be among them are the Nikko black-and-white dias, for which I’m trying to compile a list of the four sets I’m currently aware of. Here are all pictures I’ve saved of those thus far, if curious.)

Thanks a lot @sableguy, much appreciated! You’ve identified so many of them at once.

I’ll document all of it in my local documents on my PC and will then edit my post above with the remaining few to identify items, which are mostly the stickers and plushy by the looks of it.

EDIT:

Of course! I should have known this, since I bought this page that I know is from the ‘Trainer’s Sticker Book - From Kanto to Kalos’ from the same webshop at the time.. Makes total sense now.

I’ve put all the ones that have been identified within spoiler tags, and updated my non-TCG Seviper collection post accordingly with the new information. I also added two unidentified products I forgot to add initially (one Japanese playing card and one Henna Tattoo).

Thanks again for the amazing help @Julius19 and @sableguy!

Also, thanks to your Japanese translations and pictures of those sticker books you’ve added sableguy, I now have all four of those incoming. Bought them this morning. (I’ll try to remember and update here when I know whether part 1 or part 2 contains the Team Rocket #3 page when they’ve arrived. )

Just a general heads up for anyone who might be interested to learn.

The daiichipan website was updated a while back to make it easier to search for existing stickers.

You can now search by word, name, or release. Makes it a lot easier for species collectors.

Love this. Now if only they released images of the packaging they came from. They’ve come out with some wonderful stuff:

Your “Gorupachi” pinball game is likely an insert from the Shogakukan Learning Magazine - Elementary School Second Grade - 2006 May (小学館 学年別学習雑誌 - 小学 二年生 - 2006年 5月号).

https://www.amazon.co.jp/小学二年生-2006年-05月号-雑誌/dp/B000EXQLUQ

You can actually see on the bottom right of your pinball game that it says “Elementary School Second Grade” and “May Issue Furoku” in Japanese.

Would love that kind of sheet but not sure how many of those have stayed intact, at least my pogs have only 3 perforation points so would imagine they aren’t the easiest ones to keep unpunched

Your acrylic charm is likely from Pocket Monsters Team Rocket: Acrylic Charm Collection

ポケットモンスター ロケット団
アクリルチャーム
コレクション

Famitsu article dates to 2020, so it was at least sold during 2020.

Producer: ShoPro (Shogakukan)

Your 43x3mm magnet is likely from 2005 Pokemon Magnet Collection
ポケモン マグネットコレクション

Producer: Amada

Thanks again! And in one of your links I now see this:

I already had the pushout figures mentioned at the top at #1, and the circular toasters mentioned at #3 I have incoming. Cool to see that the transparent keychain (mentioned at #2) is from the same series as those two.
