Good question. Also how do you know what time to go?

Morning? Midnight?

In the link shared by @BANKS it said when they would start selling. We left with the car around ten in the morning. We were lucky to be in the countryside so most stores were selling them, usually with a limit of one to five packs per customer.

Collecting in 2025 means holding a $28,000 card for 6 weeks.

As convenient as they are, vaults 100% encourage this sort of flipping behavior. When you don’t physically have your card you are less likely to grow attached to it. When you don’t have to go through the hassle of taking photos and shipping and can just list at the click of the button, you’re more likely to sell. When your entire record of ownership of a card is just a scan of it, there are going to be lots of people who treat it as nothing more than an asset.

To be clear, I am not discounting the benefits of vaults nor am I saying that everyone who uses vaults only does so to flip cards (I’ve begun using them as well and agree they are extremely practical). However, the practice of “acquired grail card” > “list for sale 2 weeks later” is definitely aided by these services.

I use a vault but I agree: they are indeed a step towards the NFTization of the hahbee
