Pokebeach and Pokeguardian on X, and Koala on e4 takes care of all new card releases.
If you are interested in Flareon variants, the Eevee thread takes care of EVERY new Eeveelution released. That Costco cosmos you asked about was in that thread, for example
Where was that sold? Pop 27, wonder what this pop 16 mew would sell for in this low pop mania right now. Last sale was about 5k$ q4 2025 ![]()
Temptation is there but I love this card
Yeap this is me as well. I do love my collection that Iâve built up for ~8 years but if thereâs any time to exit then I decided it would be now when everything has doubled yet again. Iâd rather sell into strength than try to panic sell during a collapse.
Just last year, ZandG sold a PSA 10 for about $9.3k. So this is nearly 3x.
This is a random holo I had which was only low pop because there werenât many graded. Itâs still like a $5 card on TCGPlayer but I guess to the right buyer itâs worth it. One sold for $350 just last December so I had to do a double and triple take when it sold within half an hour after I listed it.
On Jan 30, so not even a whole month and a half ago, one sold for $13k. So this is about 1.5x. Yugioh has seen a small resurgence lately with serialized and full art cards coming out but it doesnât really appeal to me as a collector. I feel they could have made the full art have unique art compared to their lower rarity counterparts like Pokemon - having the same art just makes it feel less unique. I was more of an anime fan but they havenât put out a new anime (excluding Rush Duels) since Vrains ended in 2019 so they donât have much going for them aside from having a number and kinda fancy border. I think of this as a dead cat bounce, itâs either I sell it nor or never.
In the last 1.5 months timeframe, this one has fluctuated wildly. Two sold for $6k. Two sold for $9k. Thereâs also one on auction right now via ZandG thatâs at $9k with 8 days left of bidding. Why my copy decided to just sell for such a high price is beyond me but Iâll take it. Maybe they expect ZandGâs listing to break records so theyâre locking this price in before that happens.
I still got about ~8-12 high end cards remaining. If this market ever retraces maybe I can get some back for cheaper and rebuild my collection again. If not, Iâll watch from the sidelines but I wonât regret it.
Yeah at some point even the cards you love are hard to hold onto when you spent pennies on them and itâs suddenly life changing money
Thank you Iâll start there!
TCGCollector updates variants for modern. Thereâs no ticker or anything but thereâs an active community that reports variants to be added to the site as and when they come out.
Of course youâd have to be looking for the card to then click on variants to discover them though I think you can set a search filter and search every so often.
I do genuinely wonder what motivates people like this/what the story is here.
Someone bought a card from me off Fanatics for $590 on February 20th.
On March 10th, that person listed it on eBay for $400 OBO .
Taking Fanatics fulfillment time into account, this guy had the card in his possession for probably all of like 3 days before deciding to sell it. Already willing to take a solid 50% loss on it, when factoring in fees/shipping.
And yes, I sent him an offer to buy it back :). Bc why not. Itâs a great card.
If he accepts my offer, thatâs just poetic tbh.
Not sure what all of this says, but it has to say something about the market weâre in rn.
EDIT: got it! Back to my vault you go, my old friend.
losing 200 bux is prolly better than losing 50k+ on a 1st edition machamp that dude is gonna lose if he ever goes to resellđŹ
hey, at least itâs shadowless! Could be worseâŚ
Thatâs helpful thank you!
Most of my sales of high-end English cards have been going to resellers. I know this because within 48 hours of receiving the package, they use my listing but multiply the list price by 3x-5x.
No. They donât leave feedback.
No, I wasnât underpricing them. Many of the cards in 2026 are selling for ATH prices.
Right now, the resellers are in a game of hot potato. If they can buy a card for $1500 and list it for $5000, maybe someone will buy it for $3000. Although I may have made 33x on that card, theyâd only need to 2x to make the same amount in absolute dollars.
In my opinion, this is a sign that weâre peaking. Question is, whoâs going to be stuck holding the bag? Hopefully not collectors.
Impossible to hold the bag as a collector. Holding the bag is the whole point!
money laundry
Today a Redditor on r/pokeinvesting (my favorite abusive relationship) with a 6 month old account tried to unironically claim that true collectors are only collecting vintage PSA 10âs. That PSA 8, 9, and binder consumers werenât collectors unless the cards in question were gold stars
Thatâs where we are right now.
I mean, he has a fair point.
If you arenât paying a 3000% premium for a card that has a 60% chance of being in better condition than the average PSA 9, are you really a true collector?
Idk man, all I know is that Iâm off to tell the complete species binder collectors that they donât count anymore, somebody bring me the Staraptor guy so I can break his heart
prolly a better take than their normal âonly buy sealed because sealed only goes upâ
i mean its not like evolving skies cost the same 2500 bux now as it did 1 year ago when all slabs are up like 5-10x ![]()
Itâs funny seeing cards on Fanatics/ ebay sell and people post on instagram âIn!â and ask 1.5x- 2x immediately
i just saw someone post booster box âbuybacksâ at like half the going rate
for like 5-6 figure boxes
