Buy the new one too. I’m a little hesitant to do that cause my two deserve black labels. The new one probably didn’t deserve a 10 sub on centering but got it. That makes me hesitant.

In your Leonhart video it was pretty clear the cards didn’t deserve a black label and you said so yourself multiple times. Did you try to cross other 1st editions or am I missing something?

Japanese base set is popping off. I was going to scoop a full holo set the other day on auction, then it gets bought out. I see another full set today listed for 21k obo. I email the guy, and we start negotiating. Then he hells me that his friend just paid him 27k for the psa 10 Japanese set. My heart can’t take it. I’ll never get em hahaha

This is the time to buy a shitload of JPN Base booster packs for 180-200 USD each then! They will see a big price bump when the graded set is becoming more and more expensive.

Those will be most likely light and they are getting harder and harder to find for that price.
Better buy starter decks, holo+rare+more commons and uncommons

Gary, I think having another BGS 10 sales data would be nice, whether you or someone else buys this card. If the card does break 500k or even 1m, i can imagine that will get a lot of publicity, especially being the latter. i somehow think charizard’s hot streak the 2nd half of 2020 positions it better than trophy cards to break the new high prices of all time (250k illustrator was it?) If Pokemon finally hits 1m on a single card, you’d bet there’d be tons of publicity on Youtube, IG, and via BGS, i’m sure! this would be a milestone for the hobby for sure…
people definitely get triggered by important #s…a million sounds nice for Pokemon.
i know you sell % ownerships on some of your charizards. even if this was a joint ownership of the card, that would be cool…

As someone just starting to get into collecting and with no real history im hoping someone can fill bebin on the market recently. From looking around in the threads it seems people are saying buy whatever you can afford right now because the prices have seen a steep increase recently.
For those who have been around for a while, and if this is true, do you see it continuing to climb or will there be a recession?
For example a card like a base shadowless psa 8 charizard. Do I need to buy this thing like right now because by December it will have increased in value by 25%

Short term idk what the price will do. But longer term i 100% believe that prices, especially charizard, will only go up.
Lots of variables can come into play. Maybe there’s a craze right now because of Logan Paul and Gary Vaynerchuk and maaaaybe the price settles and retraces a bit but that’s a huge maybe. My money is it keeps going up and by Xmas the prices are even greater. And even if it does retrace a bit, by this time next year I would bet a large sum of money the prices increase a ton!

It looks like it was around $550 a year ago. This is for the plain shadowless one, non-1st edition. For 1st edition Base Charizard, it appears to have been selling for around $3k.
