There has to be right? But what I donât understand is how itâs even inflating at the rate it is currently.
I suppose if they really are organized they can flip the target cards and move onto the next without losing anything but that just seems like itâs asking too much. Can a group be that organized? But I still donât see how they can target a sector, Pokemon, whatever and then everything starts to riseâŠ
For the longest time, I really struggled with this idea and just how irrational the overall current market is. Then, a few months ago I had an epiphany: Iâm trying to apply too much logic to the situation. The market is extremely irrational and Iâll never understand it because of that fact, but thats okay.
Take advantage of the irrationality and find inefficiencies to exploit.

double 10 subgrade, = people think it can psa 10? i feel like it would need one of the 10s to be a surface 10 to have a shot there
i paid about 6k for that in a psa 10 about a year ago i wouldnt even pay 1k for bgs 9.5

There is an insane amount of hoarding sealed packs going on. Prismatic Evolutions had massive packs released the past few weeks through Costco and Sams Club, with most stores getting 1-2 pallets every other week.
The supply of singles and market price hasnât moved in the past few weeks like it should have. Gotta be most people saving the packs for retirement, lol. Congrats, you did what everyone else is doing.

This sale is wild to me. A PSA 10 hasnât sold in ages and this is already way above the last sale price before the current boom. PSA 9s are going between 1.5k - 2k so itâs just baseless speculation that doesnât take into account longer-term historical data (which makes it an apt reflection of the current market and consumer behaviour).

It is the strongest graded expedition mew in the bgs pop report so someone is willing to gamble it seems
Got an odd âplayâ here, feels gross that it can even happen.
I bought a sealed 2024 World champ deck for $12 on eBay because no one was selling the Penny card from the deck individually. I pulled the Penny card out for my collection, and listed the other 59 cards on TCGPlayer - $1 for cards with 4 in the deck, $4 for cards with 1 copy in the deck. Within 1 day I blew past the $12 after fees and stamps. Then I list the remaining cards on eBay and sell 1 a week, mostly internationally, for $5 shipped each.
It is a weird world we live in when you can buy product like that on the second hand market, break it down, and come out ahead. I still have 40 cards left on eBay to trickle out over time. Had no plans to break even from this, let alone make money on it.
