That’s an insane buy!! The ex reverses are going nuts now too, especially Rocket Returns. I wonder how much is organic set interest and how much is spillover hype from Destined Rivals. Hopefully for all of us pitiful vintage collectors the prices can come down a bit later on.

That’s a very good point you made there. I enjoy their content a lot. They do seem to be good honest people. I guess my original thinking was on the lines of the slab losing its value.

Now back on topic, I’ve seen this listing linked on a Discord server earlier today Pokemon 💎 Booster Box Evolving Skies Display Sealed Factory 2021 + Acrylic Case | eBay.
I’m not interested in paying 1k€+ for an Evolving Skies BB, but I saw something interesting. You can see on one of the sides that the text is visible on the side of the packs. It’s the first time I’ve seen it, so it doesn’t look normal at all to me. However, many of you here are way way more knowledgeable than I’ll ever be. How does that look to you? Bad QC? Or fake packs? I’ll leave the image in question below.

Pack artwork is sometimes not 100% centered correctly. Its not something that on its own would concern me, but in tandem with other red flags, it could be an issue.

Shiny Rayquaza EX XY69 PSA 10 sold for $4,920. A raw copy readily goes for ~$25 and a PSA 9 goes for $150.
Conditional rarity is an important part of the hobby, but when it results in a 33x spread that’s just ridiculous.
