On the opposite side of the spectrum, I legitimately haven’t seen a single pack of cards available in like 2-3 months. I’m not constantly on the look, but every time I go to a store like target, they are 100% sold out. Before that I would always see at least a few things still on the shelves, even if the stocking person hadn’t been to the store for 2 weeks.

Same here in the German speaking sphere. A lot of the YouTube/Twitch people that suddenly started opening packs during the hype in 2020/21 and then from 2022-24 didn’t even know what Pokemon is are now back to opening packs. This is the sign for me to take, especially the German/English market, with caution now.

I love that Yeti’s low grade raw one is still available, 4 years later, and still at an outrageous price…seems like a good way to keep cash flow moving
Looks like Z&G is selling a PSA 10 this coming Sunday. We only see about one PSA 10 sell publicly each year, so I’ll be curious where it ends up.
Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think owning a sealed Trainer Deck A or a complete ungraded, playable, deck of these cards would be more interesting than individual graded slabs.

Definitely - not trying to take away from the coolness of a mint or gem mint copy of these very rare cards. I just have a personal preference to see them as decks (sealed or complete in box or sleeved and played with) rather than as graded slabs.

The current hype did not only reach the big streamers but in my YouTube recommendations there are plenty of videos of people with like 10 to 1,000 views per video giving out “investment advice” and “which cards/product you should buy now!!”. I took a glimpse into some of their videos and most of the stuff they said was just ridiculous. Their backdrop usually consisted of a couple SV booster boxes which they used to state their expertise because they went up so much in value. A lot of them probably only joined Pokemon in 2024.
Well, everybody is an expert in a bull market. It reminded me a lot about 2020/21 but this time it seems even more ridiculous.

I’m also receiving an increased amount of pokecrap in my recommended videos. I deliberately don’t watch hardly any Pokemon content anymore even when I’m in the mood, to try and keep my recommendations as clean as possible. It’s been quite noticeable.

I would just like to say, that I think the easiest way to take advantage of this hobby and earn money from it. go into target and costco as they have the most stock and try to buy as much as possible to sell on the seconday market, I love to earn money from this hobby and would love to hear more ways to earn money from it.
By the way what is the best way to resell prismatic evolutions? I have a couple Pokemon center etbs and blooming waters boxes that I need to sell off I want to make a 200% market increase

Instead of reselling cards made for children, I just rob the children of their allowances outside of Target. Figure I can cut out the middle man and avoid eBay fees that way.
