I think almost certainly they were ordered to destroy any remaining product, which they would have had a legal obligation to thoroughly perform. So whatever they had was probably pilfered and stowed away by employees, like the stories we’ve heard about Skyridge boxes. If it wasn’t taken home it was destroyed.
As very unusual and unlikely as it already was that WotC found those undistributed Magic cards, I’d say Pokémon would be a non-starter.
For sure. They were doing $1 bulk on V cards, then dropped to $0.50, then taken off completely. I am surprised they don’t just lowball buylist offers of $0.25 or something, just to have something offered. Could have 1 cent a card until bulk recovers.
I respect that they’re at least not overpromising (unlike the third-party mystery boxes). They’re very transparent with what the lots contain. I actually used to buy their Magic lots many years ago. They used to sell random Alpha/Beta cards for something like $2 ea – I actually got some non-junk cards out of it, too ( best one I can recall off the top of my head is an Alpha Hurricane, which was worth like $8 at the time). I respected that they weren’t promising a chance at a Black Lotus or some shit like eBay repack listings were.
TrollX is owned by T&T but they don’t appear to be the manufacturer of the product you linked. That’s just the vendor account they’re listing them under.
Troll and Toad has brought back bulk buylist, with the exception of V and VMAX. It’s been a few months since they pulled down bulk buying.
Might be a sign of bulk coming back slightly. My guess is they were overwhelmed with cards coming in, and decided to slow down intake so they could catch up. Maybe PSA could learn from Troll and Toad
Hi! I would like to sell some PSA graded cards but here in Spain is difficult to sell them as people don’t appreciate them that much, and selling through eBay from Spain these kind of cards is difficult. Have been considering selling them through a middleman via consignments but not sure how exactly that works, I guess I send them to this person and they will wire me the money after they sell them minus a tax I guess
Any recommendation on a consignment person? I would like my cards to be sold as fast as possible don’t mind if the tax is “high”. They are not high value cards ( most of them are around 50-300$) but they all may sum up around 2k$ so that money comes in handy to move onto other collection goals
Agree with eeveeteam on the recommendations. I would also suggest opening a Wise account because then you can receive ACH cash transfers within the US and then send it back to your bank in Europe with much lower fees. It’s cheaper and much easier/faster than a wire transfer in my experience.
At least where I live, no one could give me a straight answer on how to receive a wire transfer from the US when selling cards, it was a mountain of paperwork and confusion which is why I’d highly suggest Wise or a similar service as it can be setup within an hour or less and ready to receive funds the same day. Wire transfer is very dinosaur/boomer tech IMO.
I would rather look into selling through Cardmarket.com which is the main platform for EU. Especially when they’re not high value cards as I can imagine that most US buyers won’t be interested in them (at least at market price) because of import fees. Also, there’s much more supply of PSA graded cards in the US than in Europe, so that would hurt your ability to sell even more. Are you selling mostly modern or WOTC?
If you want, you can send me a DM with the list of cards you’re willing to sell so I can have a look whether I would be interested to buy. I’m quite new to the fourum, but I don’t see a section for sellers (only buyers), so making a public thread with the list isn’t an option I think @smpratte?
Sales posts aren’t allowed on the forum unfortunately.
I would personally recommend PWCC. It’s optimized for consignments, works well for international consigners, and has streamlined payment options. Especially if your cards aren’t super expensive, PWCC is a good choice.
Im not sure if this is the right thread for this, but i wanted some opinions bc i had some strong feelings about something. Card N All Gaming posted a video on the 11th, just two days after Lost Origin released, about how Giratina Alt Art is supposedly underpriced-- or “too cheap,” as he put it. This video was quite speculative. People are marrying themselves to day 1 allocation and arbitrary pull rates compiled by like one of the biggest card stores (cause thats not a conflict of interest at all). Also seeing remarks of short-term volatility (incredibly short-term), with no apparent mention that prices can also go down very quick, or addressing the risks of fomoing into a $200 card thats only a few days old. With all the aerodactyl-pokerev shennanigans (not blaming rev) on top of all this, it just feels incredibly irresponsible for him to be making videos like this. Like its just stoking the flames, which obviously benefits him and his store. I dont normally watch a ton of his videos, so im not sure if this is normal or not for him, but it just made me feel gross honestly and i wanted to vent a bit and see if maybe im overreacting or something.
