Beneath that snake oil salesman pitch and hysterically bad advertisement, there might be nothing more than an experienced guy trying to monetize his knowledge, and in that regard he is no more suspect than all the guys with Patreons, but WHY self-sabotage like this?
Maybe he doesn’t give a shit and is thinking “for every cynical E4 guy there is 1000 other people more than willing to pay”? He’s probably right, and this man actually knows what he is doing, so the thought of him selling bad advice is…well, it doesn’t make sense. The whole thing is weird.
Lol I guess the easy money has dried up for CC. I wonder if LP has any idea his name is being promoted like this… I’d prob send Beamer a nice letter telling him to clean my name off that site if I were LP…
The difference between the hype and the fine print really is something else… “Buy my investment guide and make BIG MONEY now!” “Wait jk nothing in here is investment advice”
This person sponsors the shit out of their listings. Must have put like a 40% ad rate on them or something. I was searching for a few different PSA 9 WOTC 1st editions the other day and entirely different Pokemon/different sets from this seller were popping up.
Just use a proxy from Europe. He has been selling Art Academy cards a few times, and even though I could view the auctions if I went through the link directly (which were shared here on the forum), it wasn’t showing up on any of my eBay search results, not even when I logged off my account and went into incognito mode (since it apparently uses location based on IP address in that case).
Since then I’ve been using geo-ship whenever I’m browsing for Art Academy cards. I did manage to buy my Queen of Hearts Pikachu from CC before the price increase fortunately enough.
