“May I ask what is the best price you can do?”

“No you may not”

whats funny about these kinds of stories to me is that a child is dying and his birthday is coming up and for some reason instead of just buying this child his dream card as soon as possible for whatever price, buddy’s trying to wheel n deal on fb marketplace lol

This finally resolved well enough. Everyone makes mistakes so no big deal. I’m glad the other party wasn’t a slimeball.

I think people may be seeing this thread and trying to get featured at this point

I’ve had a lot of good buyers recently, shout out to the repeat ones.

That said, I had a refund request because a 15€ card didn’t arrive within 2 weeks (apparently). I issued the refund and messaged the buyer and said if it turns up next week let me know. They said they will but havent heard back. The joys of untracked international shipping

If you have “Ebay Gold”, post it on the thread.
But here’s hoping things work out.

No idea if this is the most round about way of saying “what is the best price you can do” Or if he actually expects me to tell him all the other bids I got in order to price against myself/other sellers.

Newcomers wanting experienced sellers/buyers to do their homework for them…

I think this guy’s being honest. I’ve had a few questions like this.

This is virtually every post on /r/PokeGrading. Usually accompanied by a mediocre photo of the card inside a toploader + penny sleeve

if it is the same as the old gsp here where ebay acts as the middleman they should just refund the buyer out of their own pocket as well. afaik thats how the old gsp used to work before it became eis i think the only difference now is the buyer can choose to not prepay any duties

Didn’t even make it out of the dollar general before posting this to eBay for 2x. I haven’t seen this behavior since the COVID scalping peak

Not the reminder buyers need, eBay. :unamused:

eBay needs to send a more passive aggressive message.

I read this as a positive for sellers, this is mainly for best offers being sent by the seller.

  • The item is still active until it is actually paid by the buyer.
  • It creates panic for the buyer to pay for it now so others can’t get the deal you offered.
