New blocked buyer: leeeeb31

Buys a card, immediately opens a “Item Not As Described” return when it arrives saying the card has unseen defects, but the photo the buyer sends is a blurry image of the card still in the sleeve/toploader/team bag. The buyer offered to pay return shipping and let me keep $10, which is insane if the item isn’t as described. If I don’t accept, they’ll just escalate to ebay.

The guy probably owned 1% of 1 Bitcoin and they just lost their butt on it, so need to return all items they just spent money they didn’t have on.

That IS weird. Like they’re trying to be moral, but really aren’t. Why offer to let you keep anything if they’re returning the card? But then, if they want it for free, also, why?

What card was this?

I’m sure it’s just buyer’s remorse disguised as “Item Not As Described”. It’s another non-English non-Japanese language card.

I feel like @cwebfan23.

WHAT HE BAILED ON YOU NO WAYYYYY???

No fteind should ever do that, is your fteindship over now?

I love how some people fake sympathy so easily, for me it’s hard to do it for real it’s truly impressive how many emotions these people can show

I like that ebay tells you who is a repeat customer. Obv he was not, but maybe for a real friend I could hook him up. But it is resealed anyway he would have been disappointed

I am so tired of eBay allowing sellers to send offers when you view an item (not even on watchlist).
I clicked on 40 listings on 1 card to try to find an unlimited card for a friend. Within 24 hours I am greeted with 10 offers from sellers throughout the day.
No, I don’t want your overpriced played 1st edition card. It belongs in a child donation pile

I recently discovered how to look up feedback left for others. It’s saved my butt when I get offers and then can go check their feedback and the feedback they’ve left for others. This was my most recent ‘humorous’ eBay garbage. Seller offered $30 each (half MSRP) for pokemon center etbs

How are people falling for this?

“Feedback left for others” is one of the eBay secrets. I ignore all of a buyer’s feedback (because it should be 100%) and always just check the feedback they’ve left for other sellers. Makes it so easy to spot problematic buyers, or anticipate a problem before I ship a more expensive item. I’ll check it beforehand to determine if I’ll accept a reasonable “best offer” as well.

Amazing how some of the worst buyers and/or sellers, are often the worst buyers

I’m not sure what’s worse, the buyer offering 50% MSRP or you selling at 433% MSRP on a product that released last month.
